I really, REALLY appreciate showing the struggle of getting that friction fire going! It would have been easy to just show the part where you finally got it and act like it was no big deal but i think the struggle makes the success all the more satisfying! Anyone who's ever even tried to start a friction fire, whether the succeed or not, knows what a workout it can be let alone the number it can do on your hands using that hand drill method! Kudos to you and Rufo!

Huh, well not the canine I pictured accompanying Chad on a wilderness adventure. Tamed wolf? Most definitely. Tamed coyote? Possible. Heck, even a tamed peccary would be fitting. But an adorable, fluffy, well mannered dog? Nope, wasn't on the radar.

I loved watching you with your Rodolfo. He absolutely loved that bed!! It was cute. I really thought you had an ember the last hand drill time. It was exhausting watch you, but so glad you accomplished it, as I knew you would. Good lesson for all of us watching you though. We got to see the need of persistence, of not just giving up. I also appreciated watching you assemble a bow drill , though I know you have explained it before. It was so beautiful there in the late Spring. Your camp site was perfect and you could tell Rodolfo enjoyed spending every second with you. Thank you for sharing all of it.

It is always nice to have a friend along for the journey. I miss not having a dog. With the jobs I've had in the last few years it would be very hard to have one. As I've had to travel and be gone for weeks then only be home for a day or two. I'll be moving in a month or so not sure where I'll end up but I'm hoping to have a place I can have a dog again.
