I think if the DA does not have audio then they have a serious problem with this case. I am not totally familiar with Florida Law, but most states have a prostitution law that reads some like this: "An agreement of sexual gratification that involves the genitals and agreement of compensation a person commits prostitution." That is a general paraphrase of most state laws. From what I understand Florida Law reads a little bit different. However, again there has to be an agreement of compensation and an agreement of some type of sexual gratification. One other thing to note he opted for trial by judge right out of the gate. I find this really interesting because most clients are told to opt for trial by jury. I think the only reason Robert Kraft's legal team would do this is because they plan on steam rolling the prosecutor and judge. If I was the judge in this case I would be very scared of this case .

There was no human trafficking, no slavery, because it's not needed. The girls that work at these kind of establishments make anywhere from $5K to $10K in one month (cash money), maybe even more. At any rate, they are making more money in one month than they make in one year in China. Most establishments do not offer sex, some do, not all. Living at the place of business is not uncommon, the women do not want to be tied down with a lease, and will gladly live in the back of the store, all they need is a cot, shower and a hot plate. Chinese women are tough women, they don't require much.

The charge is that way due to the fact that the women were there against their will as sex slaves. The sting was based around a sex trafficking ring, so the women aren't considered "prostitutes" per se. The issue I have with the case is that they investigated this place for 9 months and used it to capture guys who were going there to pay for sex. The real question will be how Kraft and other big names even knew about this place and why was Kraft caught near the end of the sting when police likely had more than enough to shut the place down? We need to know who approached him with the information about the place and if the same individual reached out to other big names? Then the main question to ask would be if the individual who got the information out about the place had any contact with law enforcement? The case really smells when you find out that LE was investigating for a long period time and installed cameras to capture guys being led into a sex trafficking den. Don't get me wrong, Kraft and the others were wrong for going, but it all comes back to if they were set up. These high profile older men needed to be approached about the place and it makes you wonder if LE were involved in a conspiracy to go after them.
