This video shows how I made a little owl sculpture. Just like the one that lives on the farm where I work! Husqvarna 535i XP electric saws running 1/4 inch sprockets and 1/4 inch Stihl carving chains with the carving bars

Love it.😊❤ I will be learning how to use a chainsaw soon. I'm so excited to get to try my hand at this art.

Do you use any particular woods or have favourites? Or is it just what tree has come down recently?

Hi, I normally try and keep a stock of Lawsons Cypress, as it's naturally rot resistant and easy to carve.

Hi, I use a plumbers blowtorch and a little Dremmel Butane Soldering Iron/mini gas blowtorch. Both are readily available from our local hardware stores or online.
