You've convinced me- Im running too long a bar. I know you are cutting softwoods and the saw just flies through the wood, while i cut all hardwoods and my saw goes through the wood MUCH slower. I like the way you bury the bar to cut the inner wood fibers; you cant do that with a longer bar. I currently use a 20" bar on my Husq 353- Im going to a 16".

Well there smart ass idont matter I have cut timber in the mountains of west Virginia longer than you have been alive and I'll cover you up and my comment was saying with that big motor you wouldn't have to work as hard with a 25 inch bare and learn how to sharpen it cause wi that short bar and a chain that is really needs someone to sharpen it that know how to

@@bradysteele1067 interesting. It seems much of the fallers in Europe have a mich different cutting style than on the states. They hardly even sell long bars over there.

a very good tip if you are sawing logs thick trees do not cut off all the branches use the thickest branches 1-2 cut them 150 cm long so you can turn the log and cut branches at the bottom of the log

Podobné drievka som mal v cca 94-95-tom na Velehrade. Niektoré smreky tam mali dĺžku aj 45 m. Iba som ho zhodil, odkráčal 3x 12,40 m guľatina a zvyšok bol surák.

You have a 50ft logging tape why do you pull out after every log you mark? Just mark at 12ft, 24ft, 36ft ect

Rubish . The tape is desinged with a hinge that modes the pin rearwards and out of the log. Makes no diff. if your 15ft or 50ft it still works the same way
