Chainsaw Restoration - Vintage Jonsereds Fully Restored
Its been a long time coming this chainsaw restoration but this time on RRC Restoration we are fully restoring my late grandfathers old Jonsereds 621 chainsaw, Its been in the family since the 70's and now its my turn to have custody of it and who better to get it back into tip top condition and cutting logs for hopefully the next 50 years. I wont bother going into detail about the restoration process as its all on screen and to be honest I don't think many people read the descriptions anymore which is a great shame as a great wealth of knowledge is usually shared here, so if you are reading this and you want me to continue with my nice detailed descriptions please leave a comment and let me know :)
I hope you enjoy this vintage Jonsereds chainsaw full restoration.

Got to agree with other commenters, there's a hell of a difference between the restoration of a chainsaw with 50 years of wear, tear, sawdust and gunk, and an "abandoned" motorcycle with mud wiped over it, as some channels do. I love the attention to detail, for someone who in the past used levers, hammers and swearing to remove covers, using or making the right tool really is the way to go! Enjoyable video. This channel and M539 are the best on here.

Thank you I'm glad you appreciate my authenticity everything you see on my channel is 100% genuine no fake aging or " deliberately " lost or broken parts that magically appear back as good as new etc etc lol so many fake restorers out there im just glad people like yourself can see that all my stuff is genuine and the hours of work are spent on the item not just faking it to look worse than it is.

I love this channel ❤ Questions: 1. Do you ever have any nuts/bolts/washers etc left over at the end? 😂 2. Where do you get all the torque settings from? 3. How do you remember how it all goes back together? 4. What’s your day job?
@RRCRestoration
@RRCRestoration Жыл бұрын
Thank you very much glad you like it :), To answer your questions yes i do have hardware left sometimes but thats only because I've replaced it with something better lol , The torque settings i use are usually from t he manufacturer but if not available i look up charts online to give me the correct setting for bolt size, thread pitch and material its being used in. Years of practice and my main job is professional auto spray painter and panel beater.
