My best mates father had one of these in the 70’s he used to let us ride round the paddock. Brings back fantastic memories… sadly they’re both gone now.

I have a 1989 CRX that I swapped in a K24A2 with a 6-speed LSD transmission. Mine doesn't have the rear seat. It's just a compartment and cargo divider.

Fantastic rebuild. My first bike was the 175cc version of this machine- a CT-1. Loved that bike- your rebuild brought back so many great memories. These machines were highly respected back in the day- enjoy your work to the max!

It is a nice one but original is the only way to go with a restoration of this magnitude.

Best course of action on most Subarus would be to drop the motor for a full rebuild for accessibility

As an american... seeing a CRX with an auto trans, auto mirrors, auto windows, auto A/C... with a carb made me very jealous. Talk about options!!

I wonder about the logic of the previous owner in selling a lot of the parts used. They couldn’t have gotten a lot for them. Rebuilding it the parts must cost at least double to get now. That means the value of the car when bought it for restoration must have been very low, unless it’s so rare that it’s worthwhile anyway. “After a lot of swearing, a little crying and questioning my life choices.” That is %100 me working on cars 😂😂😂 Is this the type of car I used to see Colin MacCrae driving in WRC?
