I went back to when she did this song live in 1981 and if I'm not mistaken the key is the same only difference is she slowed down the temple INCREDIBLE! She is 67 years old singing songs in the same key she did back when she was in her 20's!!!!

Y'all are so ready to pick an argument or try and show that you know how to Google lol I DID NOT say ANYTHING about going back to when she first did the song. I said I went back to "when she did the song live in 1981" because she was still in her 20's and that it's incredible that she's still singing it in the same key.

Her career has spanned nearly five decades, beginning in the 1970s as the lead vocalist of the funk band Rufus. Known as the "Queen of Funk", Khan was the first R&B artist to have a crossover hit featuring a rapper, with "I Feel for You" in 1984. Khan has won ten Grammy Awards and has sold an estimated 70 million records worldwide. "I'm Every Woman" was a charttopper in 1978 for Chaka and then a hit for Whitney Houston fourteen years later. It is also a fitting anthem for a day celebrating women's empowerment and growth.

the fact that chaka interacts/likes fans comments even after 2 years is incredible!! i found her when my mom was talking about her voice one day and now i’m a big fan!! my papa has also listened to her back in the day so now it’s going on 3 generations. INCREDIBLE

Dawned on me her weight loss probably impacted her voice to besides lifestyle choices. But either way singing and looking good as a senior citizen 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 go Chaka. But I think this demonstrates the resilience of the human body too. ❤️ and I can only hope I age as gracefully.
