He is the best in the world for a reason! I have lost count of how many times people say the other top GMs are "this" close to magnus but never beat or reached his level. He is truly the goat for me alongside kasparov and Bobby fisher.

@@tonyl7000 he played classical last month ! But yeah, less time World Champion for sure. The dominance of one or the other 13y or 15y are such that they both are in contention for the Goat. Fischer cannot compare. If it weren't for the US/Soviet context of Cold War I bet his name would not come up nearly as much

your such an idiot. the only other person who comes close is kasparov. they are both the goats of their time. its the same as trying to compare lebron and michael jordan. you cant because they didnt play against eachother in their primes. but magnus is undoubtedly the goat of the 2010's-present and likely the 2nd best if not the best of all time@@AlbertChang17

This is a way better format than the FIDE Championship. Much more exciting to watch, more interesting for the players, novel decision trees generated from shorter time control paired with the playoff format. Glad we have this series. On that note, great production work for the event coverage. Especially with the pub crowd interspersed with the quality commentating, the fun and creative interludes, the graphics -- it all feels more like a sporting event than chess has ever felt. Kudos to the team.

I would love it if the constant commentating during the games would pause for a few minutes every now and then, just showing the board, so we can just watch chess. It's gets a bit overwhelming and exhausting -- even though it is excellent. I guess there is the mute button. I find it very difficult to do my own analysis with the nonstop commentator analysis. Tnhere have been several times where there is a deep analysis going on on a line when a completely different line has been played minutes ago . Not that alternative variations aren't important, but I could see a better balance here.

Later Danny, during his cocaine mania came up with a plan to scam back the money he lost nearly overdosing and made an nft of this picture of a trophy.
