I’m a substance abuse therapist for young adults and I just stopped what I was doing to share this with them. My group is all in early recovery struggling to keep going at times and this song captures that struggle and that resiliency and hope all in one. Thank you for this !

He probably hasn't sold his soul yet to the music industry and let them use him until they use him up. I'm sure that's why we haven't heard him before! And with your talent and knowledge of how to reach totally in to someone's spirit and touch their soul with songs like this one, you'll go far without the evil, demonic music industry ruling your life. Literally ruling your life and, for most, even ruling when you live AND die. When they hear you, they will be knocking your door down to sign you for a music deal. Be SMART. I don’t know what it is about this song. It reminds me of my sister. I’ve dealt with survivor’s guilt for years that she’s no longer with us and I feel I could have done something to change that. It’s especially hard this time of year. Thanks for creating such a beautiful piece of music that will now always stay with me.

I honestly play this song 10x back to back. Just to try to memorize/learn the lyrics. But at night I sleep to it. And just found out he was on The Voice. Who hasn’t been on that show?? Now we know you don’t need a win from there to be a “true” artist! Can’t wait to see him in concert. ❤

The feeling I get from the way this perfectly explains how I've felt for so many years is indescribable. I feel like crying yet also shouting the lyrics with joy, heck I might just do both someday. I've struggled with depression and anxiety for about 7 years now, and the mantra I always repeated to myself was "one day at a time". I've been through a lot of lows but I've made it through them all, no matter how much I felt like giving it all up, I'm still here and breathing. I'm still laughing with my family and friends, relaxing in the sun, enjoying my favourite games and shows, making plans for the future and eating good food. The idea that I could have cut myself off from all this is terrifying, I'm so glad I didn't. It's a long way to recovery and I'll undoubtedly have more lows in the future, I'll never fully rid myself of this, but I've made it this far so I can make it through the rest. One day at a time. Sorry for being weird, this song just really struck a chord in me. If anyone's at all going through the same as me, we've got this and we can get through it together! I believe in you :)

I just found this song and listening to it the first time, I’m absolutely bawling. I just need you to know how incredible you are for this. You might’ve just saved my life. I lost my mom to suicide almost 10 years ago, I’m a 23 year old single mom with a 3 year old now. I struggle every day with the PTSD of finding her and having to recently move back into the same walls I lost her in, raising my daughter completely alone, trying not to fall into old my self-sabotaging habits. Im trying to learn how to make music myself as a means to get these feelings out but it’s been so hard to pick up on the chord progressions and most days I feel completely helpless. Your music has been the lifeline I’ve needed these last couple days I’ve been struggling the worst. Thank you so much for sharing your soul with us. I love you.
