I highly doubt anyone will see this due to how old it is, but I'm hearing this for the first time and feel like he's saying things to contradict each other to show the hypocrisy in the world. We all claim we hate one lifestyle when ours isn't any better. Therefore it's like who are we to say we hate these things such as...different races, how people's personalities are, etc. Also, some of these things may sound crazy to hate, but the point is someone in the world thinks that way.

My take on this is that every line is from other people's perspective and how people find the smallest/most insignificant things to hate. "i hate this i hate that.." It is only in the final line that is actually Chance speaking where he says he hates you if you're the type of person to be so negative. All the oxymorons are just to point out the potential for good that all these things he lists have, it is based solely on one's own perspective on it. It's similar to the message of love yourz by J cole i suppose - "you aint never gon be happy till you love yours." Love what you have and stop putting negativity into the world, that is the only way to find real happinesss, with love. The universe is listening... be careful what you say in it

I've always loved the double negative in the hook whether intentional or just sounds well it provides a subliminal message of hope. "It don't get no better" the double negatives cancel each other out and leaves you with "It gets better".
