Criticism about not knowing his wife to me is so unrelated. If you view Chance talking about his personal marriage as literal and only that, you lose the principals and encouragement that can be applied to your own marriage in the present or the hoped of marriage in the future. I don't know eho chances wife is, nor do I care. Since when do I need to know the specifics when I csn be sharpened by the principals of the lyrics? Chance didn't make this album for you. He made it ultimately for himself. And if others like it and can relate thats cool too. Furthermore, since he didnt make it for "us" but himself, then that means he has no expectation for us to like it or dislike. It is ultimately his art. Yall are judging it like he made the album for the public. Just because he released it to the public doesnt mean he made it for the public.

Myke said it best- we don't know his wife. None of the songs on this album even describe his wife in any way or tell any stories about them together. It's just surface level, she's great and she's my baby mom stuff. There are much better rap songs about loving ones partner, like Common- The Light, Common- Faithful, The Roots- You Got Me

Right. Work Out, 69th and Ingleside etc were so good and had me hyped for the album. So to hear how lazy these flows were and how basic the production was. It seems like he picked a theme to rap about but wasn't _actually_ inspired by the topic... and he didn't grasp this isn't a topic you make 22 songs on.

I'm almost certain Rod is talking about the Pablo tour considering the Yeezus tours almost always started with Black Skinhead, but even then Kanye had enough hits to sprinkle in between songs from whatever his most recent album is at the time. Chance doesn't have that luxury.

It's the first DEHH review I've fully watched and I don't know what is the most funny thing on it. Is that the multiple punchlines? Is that the fact that everyone laugh and the unscripted, unfiltered mood (that we see in all the other videos, for what I've seen)? Is that the moments when Feefo, Ken and everyone else do impersonations of the singing (and here, the screams) of the artist reviewed? Is that... Myke C-Town (seriously, this guy is entertaining as hell)? I don't know. I just know that I love that.

The album sounds like chance is complacent. He’s accomplished what he wanted, found his sound, and is now just sticking there. It’s an incredibly safe and non offensive album. A lot like logic he found success and is now just trying to keep his fanbase He didn’t think it out, he just wrote whatever popped into his head but didn’t take the time to review, edit, and rethink “does this sound good” “are these good lines” is the message coming across well. The length itself shows he didn’t plan it out. A while back he released Man Who has everything and that song is what this album should have been. A mature album, in which he reflects upon his life going up to his marriage that give us a glimpse into his life. Sort of like jay-Z 4:44 but instead this album is a complete mess Lyrically it has some of Chance’s worst lyrics, production is bland AF, the message he was trying to send doesn’t come through and the listeners don’t care.

Wehere323 does it not feel like a very watered down version of what he’s done before on coloring book. What in this is new? What on this is going to inspire future rappers by exposing them to something new? This album is very safe from the sound itself when compared to his previous albums. He built his fanbase, and is now making non offensive and watered down music.

I like Christian rap. This album is poor to me. There are interesting highlights and things. The lowlights are putrid though and sours the experience. He should have honed in on the retro styled and the first three tracks. There is something in those pieces to me .

Critics liked the Yeezus album, it was more polarising with the general public. Over time more people have warmed to it. I see more Kanye fans these days liking Yeezus a lot more and having it top 3 or even their favorite in his discography. I wish I went to the Yeezus tour, it looked incredible. From footage I have seen he did perform tracks from Yeezus. Speaking of Kanye he should do that 7 track album with Chance. I don't know if it is still happening, it should though.

I agree with Myke, chance never has lines this bad, he isn’t a lyricist or anything but he usually has very clever stuff, and on this album, there’s maybe a handful, where as on acid rap and 10day there’s a handful on each track It feels like chance created this album in like a month
