I rather have all my classes online than going to class. I understand that many students are sick of online classes but for me it would be the best decision. It is still better than nothing.

I see this as an absolute essential and something I'd not compromise on. A lot of international students like me can't afford to take risks with their health, and I'd personally avoid taking classes which do not atleast have an option of online attendance.

@@vaibhavsingh9x I am also an international student :) I adapted to online classes and I am very glad that online classes are offered.

Online classes option for the students who prefer no to take the risk to get sick and expose their families. No penalty and more online options..

@@lukedillon2510 youre willing to put even a couple of lives on the line JUST so you can be on campus? we offer so many excellent in depth online courses that you surely won't be lacking in fundamentals. youre also being inconsiderate of people in travel bans and the hundreds of immunocompromised students.

Distance Education has always been available for every class I have ever had to take so I guess it could be an option for those who have underlying conditions. Perhaps they could make distance education for those with special situations pass/fail so they’re not at a hugee disadvantage? Idk I agree it’s risky but it would be so challenging for me to be a student at home again like not everyone lives in the most optimal conditions for taking college-level stem classes that demand everything from you already but even more when you don’t even have a reliable distraction-free environment. I’m all for masks and safety measures but I just don’t know if it would be fair to force ALL students to do an online semester.

@@anyaaponte6477 Crazy how fafsa still doesnt cover online classes the same as the in person classes. I wouldn't be so angry if this option was available at no cost to poor students. Also, I have had plenty of professors at NC State be over 60 and definitely at risk of this virus. Lets just not risk people dying or the virus further spreading.

Why would students revolt at the suggestion of an easy, inexpensive practice that is scientifically proven to reduce the spread of COVID-19 ? With NCSU being a scientific institution, I think our student body is smarter than that.

You can revolt if you want, but I'm assuming if you don't follow whatever required protocols the university puts into place, you'll be removed from your class. Also, being informed of risks, working to establish changes to reduce impacts, and emphasizing the danger of this virus is not fear mongering.

I don't understand why people are against wearing a face mask to prevent spreading the virus? I am a social person and I am willing to wear a mask to not only save myself from the virus but also to save other people including my family. There are cases with people having the virus without any symptoms.

@@williamkimler2373, your not wrong, but people who put their emotion behind such information often are the cause of such fear-mongering. I'll agree that the students revolting is definitely overblown, but then again, it is impossible to satisfy everybody right?
