Former Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu has been arrested by state CID in an alleged Rs 300-crore ‘skill development’ scam (he is accused No. 37). Comment was intended at media houses and not common people. We see national media houses majorly covering regional news across the hindi belt. But, hardly covers anything from down south. They need to increase their coverage of southern India, so people all over India can get to know happenings in southern region too. I am NOT here to create animosity. I have seen these centres (I'm not even from AP) - APSDDC was fairly professional from my engagement with them. Dont know about the financial dealings but the centres really did come - with mini Lift Mechanism, Complete 3D Printers, Robotics, advanced CAD centres etc.

30 Skill development centers (6 CenterOfExcellence) were setup (still running as of today) and 2Lakh students got trained through this program, which comes to Rs.15,000 per student. This program brought AP to top position in skilled resources provider (1st for 3yrs, 2nd for 1year) in India

Advani ji said most trusted alliance partner is TDP. CBN or TDP always wanted center for supporting Andhra pradesh development. Which never got recognized earlier ruling party. Its after the Great NTR they recognized that there is a language called TELUGU. and NTR strived for TELUGU PRIDE. later it's Chandrababu focused on development of state, Hyderabad in particular in IT .he showcased to the political leaders in the center the entrepreneur skills of Telugu states. When state was divided Special Status for economic growth and other assurances were given on the floor of the PARLIAMENT. When the NDA government refused to the same and political pressure built he came out from NDA and subsequently he lost election 2019. Today the situation in Andhra pradesh is worse. Thanks for covering Andhra politics with such deep detail and I worked in CBN janmabhoomi programs - one of my inspirations to join government service later in life. But it is during YSR time, in 2005, I joined a Government Job and worked in MGM Hospital Warangal. United state those days and now I am settled in the United States and very sad to see this state of confusing and caste-based politics in Andhra. By the way, both janmabhoomi and user charges in government hospitals introduced by CBN - inspired me but later proved to be futile events - his fault or our culture's fault - no one knows.

It is really very bad for Andhra Pradesh once known as perfect state based on inclusive developments be it IT sectors, human development, good governance etc. Sad to see downfall of AP. Jagan mohan reddy spent 16 months in jail, he wants all opposition leaders spent atleast one day in jail. Jagan involved in his elder father brutal murder case. He is on bail from past 11 years, he managed all institutions. Not a single development project in andhra in jagan tenure. State is almost bankrupt. Govt employees were not getting salaries until mid of the month.

Asain paints mou with ap government in 2015 (in TDP government)with 1750/- crore only but it started functioning in 2017. 3). Hero motor corp moa with TDP government in 2014 and plant begins manufacturing in 2020(in jagan government). 4). Isuzu moa with ap government in 2013(congress government) and alloted 107 acres in Sri City and came to existence and started manufacturing in 2016 I think You have learned giving credits to CBN for everything 🤣 5). I also don’t want to undermine what Dr YSR did. He did development as well. What I’m bringing here what mr Jagan did ? Amaraja came to Telangana now. Thank God SG sir You finally did a video on AP Politics❤ I like to contribute a bit of context I'm pursuing BTech mechanical 2017-21. During my 2rd year, we went to AP skill development sessions at a neighbouring college to learn 3D designing using Solidedge (Siemens). Must say that 3 week workshop impacted our lives a lot! We studied under JNTUK curriculum, which is pretty outdated to say the least. This workshop made us realise the true role of our graduation. It's the reason some of my classmates were able to settle abroad working in structural design jobs. There is no good industry in AP, so most of them work in different state or country contributing their taxes there. All Mr.Jagan's govt have done in their term is establish a system called "Gram Volunteer", which employs the state youth @11k p.m for spreading govt. schemes (of which there are a lot) and stuff. All these schemes are aimed at the poor and numerous, making them win the Election at the cost of our young generation's future. God save us

I want to add one thing alone that no one ever discussed in this subject. I was actually surfing the interest and found a document. It is a central government fund sanction letter to government of ap for the said skill development corporation. Central government has actually given an aid of 79cr just like it gave to every other state. So if there is any scam happening which involves money laundering wouldn't the central get involved in it and try to prove cbn as a looter or corrupt when he turned against them in 2018? Why would central government leave away such opportunity to book CBN under some case and put him behind bars? To this day no one from center made any statement against CBN or the irregularities in the said project. Centre even gave few awards for the same project. Isnt Siemens involved in apssdc to this day? Did this government make any exclusive MoU with Siemens right after getting into power? These are some questions that this government should answer.

They say it happened through skill development corporation, with 90% funds from Siemens and 10% from state. State officials released 330 crores as part of their share and all spent on nearly 300000 students on buying equipment and training them and almost 200000 got their jobs. Not a single person charged , not even md of the corporation.

i took that skill developement program in andhra university, we didn't pay anything. we got trained for a week on seimens cnc programming and later got a certificate, he machinery we were learning on was worth crores coz it was just massive and so were the computers we were provided (they had really good specifications at that time, also we had another program by dassault systems, which was in my college. laptops were provided to the clg, a very good ones too( for that time). these were two of the skill development programs by that govt that I attended. i dont know the economics behind all of this. i just know, the program was legit and it helped students.

You will be able to present a more detailed and comprehensive analysis on the case and how cbn is framed for political reasons. Surely he is not arrested without the knowledge of top leaders in the centre.

Oh finally thanks Sekhar Gupta for recognition of south India politics. You have done poor homework on this episode. Grant in aid does not come as money or asset , as a part of CSR ( corporate social responsibility) Siemens will provide their software which they valued at 3300 crs. 10% fund from government is for sourcing the hardware which required to run those software’s . The same scheme is implemented by Siemens and design tech in 9 other states including Gujarat

And the siemens is not aware of this deal. Disigntech bought the software for 58 crores and inflated the cost price multiple times. We wrote the letter to Andhra Govt back in 2018 and no action was initiated by then govt.

TDP claimed that Seimens has also had similar projects in 9 states including gujarat where Modi has started the skill development program, They also claimed and showed documents that the present YCP govt gave appreciation certificates to the design tech company that their performance is good.

Around the middle of 2000s, there were spanking new trains with stainless steel interiors started running in the Chennai suburban electric rail routes. People were impressed by the coaches. The talk at that time was, these were coaches originally meant for Andhra Pradesh, and got rejected by CB Naidu. If the rejected coaches were this good, one can imagine the quality of the approved coaches, right! While the story might be spurious, people of TN readily believed it. That's the kind of image CBN had in TN. He was looked up with awe, as a man who doesn't compromise when it comes to development of AP.

One of the saddest reality is CBN is not going to come power in 2014. He was the best CM of United Andhra ever had. Telangana people accuses him that he had all devlopment in only Hyderabad & currently new Andhra region. Ironically same Andhra region is not going to elect him . It’s like arresting lorry manufacturers because a lorry driver involved in an accident, or a construction company who builds the road. More ever there is not an iota of evidence in this case against chandra babu Naidu. Siemens and digi tech were in this skill improvement business from many years and they supplied equipment to andhra along with 7 other states including gujarath.

Not even one point matches the present CM and these illiterates back Jagan Reddy :P Such a pity and the downfall of elite Andhra minds. @@DV-lh2ov I understand stand. But atleast there is a ray of hope that it can be revived and the state will sustain for all the good resources it has. Keeping away the politics, as a person who is from AP but not staying there anymore, I always wish to go back and live in my homeland. But, the recent situations and news are scary. If it's CBN, I have a hope. It's a big task in front of him but he will do it!!!!
