Any videos, pics or details on this gun? I shoot a couple hundred rounds through my P almost every week, but this makes me realize I’ve been babying it too much 😂.

1 clean my mags once or twice, a year and change the spring, as per staccato’s maintenance chart. This last go around, I upgraded to Atlas springs in my staccato, and prodigy mags. So far so good.

Is dropping the slide on an empty mag really as bad for the gun as many say?

Not if the gun is built well. Atlas guns are fine with empty chamber or mag slide drops

You should have dedicated mags for practice only.

Do you have situations where the gun locks open when manually racking it on an empty mag but the gun will not lock open once the last round is fired?

its not common. The follower is most likely not going all the way to the top of the mag or with enough force. First thing to check is mag springs. Second is follower fit to the top of the tube. Keep in mind that some really light ammo could possibly have the gun short stroking and that could affect this too but is uncommon.

Does anyone have 2011 mags that rattle? Mine rattle right at 9 rounds and they all do it? Any suggestions or recommendations?

The Rattle in this type of mag is typical and not something that needs to be fixed or adjusted.

All of my Infinity mags rattle in my Infinity 6” 2011, regardless of how many rounds are loaded in the magazine. They always have, no impact on functionality.

It’s just the way the bullets are stacking. There’s a lot of room in the mag for 9mm bullets as they were originally designed for .45. I usually find if I tap the mag on its spine in my hand the rounds will seat more evenly and it usually will stop the rattle.

For me, the mag will lock the slide with 1 round left in the magazine . What’s causing this issue?

my Prodigy duramags do this. I'm learning just to count and reload in comps

Last round’s bullet my be hitting the lobe of the slide stop and pushing it up. Check the slide stop lobe for copper streak from rubbing the bullet as it comes up.

Feed lips of magazine is out of spec (too wide) allowing the follower to engage the slide stop prematurely.

@@BTX406 This is one cause. If the last bullet in the mag touches the slide stop. Trim the slide stop back until it no longer contacts. Minor bullet contact on the slide stop is not uncommon. If there is no issues don't tune the slide stop.

@@jmwebservices8362 This is another cause. It's that the tube of the mag is letting the follower move to high. Not always feed lips. Often just below the feed lips.
