Changing broken 2010 Nissan Versa right upper torque strut mount. engine stabilizer. Plus tool tips

In this video I change out a cracked Nissan Versa torque strut mount in a 2010. Plus give a few tips on what tools to use.
Note. In this video I talk about times when you do not have just the right socket, but I did not say that was what I was doing. I played the video out as these things happen to people sometimes, that is why I made jokes about not using a crescent wrench or pipe wrench. I did say that it was probably an 18mm socket because I know some viewer would want post the the right size. With that said You should always try to find and use the right size if possible.

That's hilarious...you went from 19mm to 17mm THEN to Standard sizes. Why didn't you use an 18mm? that was the next course of action - unless you didn't have an 18mm. For everyone else: Those (2) Bolts are 18mm. Use a power tool or a breaker bar to knock'em free, then torque back down until snug.

What is the purpose of that rubber knob you tightened at the end?

I have never seen a use for that bumper but here is my thoughts on it. There is no real purpose on this model. but in case that same mount was used on a car model that needed to bump into that area of the brace or something was needed to be added to that end of the brace there is a place for it, and lastly it could be used to absorb vibration.

I am not sure. but you can find the motor mounts on the left and right of the engine then look for another mount that will connect from the back to front direction and that should be the stabilizer mount

They make an 18mm. Other videos say it’s an 18mm.

penetrating spray and a pull handle ( let the spay work for a few hours and use the handle lightly you do not want to rip the body of your car depending on design )

@@castorash3848 we had all off and had to drive 4-6 blocks to shop to get it removed. You need more power to get that off. If u have a shop close take it drive slowly tho. It was $5 to remove it and so worth it .

@@castorash3848 no matter what we did it didn't work and it came off in 2 second at shop call around try tire shops or closes shop to u we didn't put anything back on we drove it like that but not far

Why not just tell people to buy a Fn’ 18 mm bring that’s the damn socket they need in the first place!

The video was about changing the mount, but as a side not I wanted to show another issue that people can sometimes run into that is when you can't seem to find the right socket. Some socket sets skip sizes or a person might have a SAE set and the socket is a metric size that is between the 2 they have. I wanted the viewer to see the problem that can arise before giving them the answer. If I had of just said "This needs such and such proper size " then what happens when they run up on this very situation?
