Great to hear Ward talk openly about the Canes problems back in 09-10. So glad we got new ownership and a coach that anyone would run through a wall for. Going to be a great series against Florida!

TBH... Rod had the lowest plus/minus *in the league* (-29) at the time he lost the C for the Hurricanes. Yes, Paul Maurice was toxic AF by then and nobody wants him back in Carolina. Good riddance to Rutherford as well.

I still vividly remember Aaron Ward purposely stop skating in 09-10 multiple times. I guess it helps knowing why but for a guy who said there's a right way and wrong way to do things as many times as he just did he sure picked the wrong way to respond to a bad situation himself.
