Looks good, FYI The no touching the Light Bulbs is only for the Headlight Bulb it's self, the other bulbs are put in at the Factory by Peoples bare Hands (I know I worked at Ford doing that job for years) No gloves required for the Bulbs, except the Headlight Bulb. Keep up the great videos!

That electric ratchet you are using is an EXCELLENT tool. I have the short and long 3/8 inch drive models, haven't sprung for the 1/4 drive ones yet. The Ultra Torque impact is also an animal, I service everything from outdoor power equipment to heavy equipment and it has handled everything I have thrown at it so far, even breaking the piston nut loose on a Bobcat lift cylinder. I pretty much went all in on the Hercules lineup and have everything from their impact to angle grinder, grease gun etc. All work amazingly well, have re-tensioned the tracks after changing them or swapping from summer to winter tracks and that grease gun will tighten the track in a fraction of the time that our older Milwaukee unit will do. I also love the Quinn and Icon hand tools, Harbor Freight has really been knocking it out of the park lately and I applaud them for it. Heck at least their 20v tools are using Samsung battery cells, not sure about the 12v line like what the ratchet uses but I have personally had 0 issues out of any of them. =)

I have a 1997 F-250 XLT 4X4 Power stroke, extended cab, Short bed, 5 speed manual, new clutch, rebuilt transfer case. 230,00 miles just broke in. I get to do the Same thing. AND I get to Weld up a Cracked Core support. Another Very Common Problem with these models. This has been a Good walk through Thank you. I have changed 6 of these front end. I was a Body man. And for the life of me could not remember how to do this. I guess getting old and serving during the Carter administration will build up on yea. Thanks again

My 97 f350 with 7.3 was almost 4 hours to do new light units. Driver side > Battery and air filter tray with K&N bolted together. Passenger side Battery tray with radiator recovery tank. Those lower bolts on the light fixtures are a real pain in the ass. Did not take out the cross bar as you did. I made sure to replace all marker bulbs and turn signal bulbs before I put it back together. End result was worth it.

Speaking of which, I once marked part of the Midnight Sun 600 snowmachine race (🤔1970) out behind Wasilla up across Big Lake to the Little Su River. The Northern Lights were so bright you didn't need lights. They were the brightest I'd ever seen, so far, and every color of the rainbow 🌈 . Dancing and jumping across the night sky.

I have a '96 with the 7.3 PSD. I did replace the core support along with the front body bushings. The glow plug relay was upgraded to a heavy duty one. The valve cover plugs were also replaced. The original ones were falling apart. The lights were replaced as well.

Like the ford and when I worked in the body shop we called the aftermarket parts Sorta Fit!

Dad loved his and it was really good truck but, I swear I spent more time digging for my dropped sockets and wrenches or drop bolts than we ever did actually work on it. Gosh I dreaded when raised the hood up on that thing. Ford should have issued a maginet with that darn thing. I believe you that one will also make you a good truck too. LoL thanks for the memories buddy.

Great job, my favorite truck was a 1997 Ford f250 crew cab 4wd with the 6 1/2' bed. It had the 7.3L diesel.

Before you put the ball back in the headlight wipe it down with an alcohol swab that way if there's any dirt or fingerprint Greece where you accidentally touched it will clean it all up even if you're installing a new headlight bulb before you put it in and get it bolted in this place wipe it down with an alcohol swab first

Excellent video Hank :) also for keeping headlights like new put on and all rest use 50% hot water & 50% vinegar when bath truck rubbing with soft cloth or nice clean rag never used before to! If go to car wash places each time use wax 2 times before soap then 2 times then water 2 times on these 3 selections and keep them shiny and clean like brand new too put in same day or yesterday you be impressed to when do it ! Also ever do new headlights bulbs use Sylviania brands on 2 times white ones of brighter types and help thru bad weather conditions and dark nights drive or daytime not kidding also notice difference to Hank and won't say can't see and see lots better to !

By far the best bang for the buck is HID lights. I go for 5000k.

Your going to want to upgrade the turbo and injectors in that truck, and transmission. And add an intercooler. It will be a totally different truck. My brothers are big obs ford guys. I'm a dodge guy so I prefer the cummins over the stroke. But love your videos and wish I was closer to come hang out with you guys.

LED light bulbs would have made those new lenses even brighter, I converted my suburban to all LED and they super bright

oils in your fingers acts as a heat sink which the heat from the bulb heat those areas which fatigues the glass

I miss the days when you could do routine maintenance to you own vehicle, without having to disassemble half the car. We didn't need a $2,000 computer to tell us what was wrong with our engine or transmission. Any guy with $50-60 worth of tools in his box, could accomplish most any repair, minor or major!
