Changing my life * 2 month update: SINGING

So I've started having singing lessons. It's TERRIFYING! It's even scary just uploading this video for some reason. Nevertheless, I'm doing it ('it' being singing lessons, and uploading this video!) :-)
I thought I'd talk a bit about what I've done over the last 2 months since I devised my 'Plan: do stuff', and a bit about what I'm planning to do next.

You know you are so brave to be able to put your anxiety aside for the moments you are with your teacher. I personally applaud you. I know I get really anxious talking in front of people and singing. If I do so I end up making fun/criticizing myself. Its cool to see you really enjoy it! I'd say keep it up and focus of that for a while. I think that switching it up too often could also trigger a frenzy of anxiety because of the overload of information. I hope you keep up with the singing and are one day brave enough to let us hear your voice. I, on the other hand, have not really done anything too exciting. I started a new position at work. I will have to start answering phones and interacting with people more, so that will be challenging but I know I can push through it. Yay for Walmart!! (Do you have a Walmart near you, or even in the UK?)

Thank you Cassandra! I tend to make fun of myself as well in these types of situations, in the singing lessons as well because of the anxiety as you say, but yeah I'm enjoying it anyway :-) You know, you're probably right, and it's a very good point about trying to do too much in a short amount of time. I think I will take your advice and focus on singing - that makes much more sense! Oohh the new position is something exciting! I understand completely when you say it will be challenging having to answer phones - that's probably the main thing that made me so anxious at my old work (cripplingly anxious in fact, and it wasn't even something I had to do often!). I admire your positivity with getting through it. That's the best way to approach it, with a positive mind! Good luck with it, I know you'll do well! :-) And I don't have a Walmart near me, no! I don't think we have them in the UK. I've heard a lot about them though, I feel like maybe we're missing out! Haha :-)

I would love to hear you sing! I sing as well... to my cats lol! They can attest to how well I sing by scratching up the walls so the outside world can hear my beautiful voice (clearly not to escape or anything like that). 😂

I love watching your videos ☺️ your fun and positive, well done for actually doing the singing lessons 😁 I am an oldie 53 and have anxiety and self doubt too. I have been putting off driving tests for years after failing my first at 21. Many driving lessons and then the theory test was another hurdle to over come. I have recently bitten the bullet and passed my theory test and found an instructor to go on an assessment lesson . so we can all achieve the impossible if we set our minds to it. Here's hoping I get that license. Good luck in your continued adventures , you can do whatever you set your heart on I'm sure x

Thank you so much Kim! I love hearing more about the people who watch my videos, so thank you for sharing - and congratulations on passing your theory test!! I remember how anxious I was about starting driving lessons and taking the tests, mostly because of how overwhelming it all seemed. Then I actually failed my first practical test so I know how you feel! Very soon it will become second nature and you'll be fine, you'll definitely get your license! I appreciate your eagerness Sawyer! Haha :-) I may make a video one day, if I can get to a point where I'm happy enough with my voice to share it! :-)
