When I was little, part of me questioned the "pointlessness" of doing all of this just for a slab of marble. But as an adult, it is simply impossible to not respect and admire this extreme level of dedication, once it sinks in that these men and women have been doing this ceremony, without stopping, down to the slightest millimeter, uninterrupted for over a hundred years, and will continue to do it, through however many more hundreds of years we humans remain on this earth. Be it during clear skies, rain, snow, hurricanes, or even the 9/11 attacks, they have done this ceremony and will continue to do this ceremony, potentially until the end of time if need be. Pure respect.
@GamingDrummer89 Жыл бұрын
Their level of dedication is as admirable and inspiring as anything I've seen. They don't stop at any time, for any reason. And it's not "just for a slab of marble" as many of us misunderstood in our younger years...it's to honor the one buried there, and, in turn, all the unknowns that one soldier represents. They gave up their lives AND identities.

@@masterphoenixharp ...It's from the movie Scent of a Woman. Pacino plays a blind retired soldier.
