So this is one of those jobs that should be straightforward on any front-engined car but when dealing with the famous 911, things get a little interesting. Follow my steps as I work through changing the spark plugs and coil packs on my Porsche 996 Turbo X50.

Sweet! This is the next project for me own 996/420X50. To extend the life of the whole arse end, when I bring mine back into the garage I religiously run a blower under the car from front to back for two hours. Sounds like a hassle, BUT, find the right blower, sits on the floor, has a timer and two outlets with fault protection. Blowing the latent heat away like Lewis and Fernando and the rest having their teams do for them. Married with kids? Get them uniforms and text ahead when coming back to box.

I did mine on the drive, bumpers in situ, without removing anything but the wheels and undoing a liner.

Nice video thanks I have the same issue, did you fix the issue? Was it the fuel pump?

@@tazotazo7862 thanks for the comment and support. It was the infamous fuel pipes on the fuel pump and swirl pot. I did a couple of videos to show the problem. A new pump unit fixed the issue and the car is flying strong again 💪 🚙💨👍

Well done, thank you for the video. What did the misfire end up being? I’m dealing with the same thing. Was going to replace the coil packs and plugs just to eliminate them From the equation. But I have a feeling my issue is bigger.

Hi Scott, thanks for the comment and support 👍. Definitely worth eliminating and check out my additional vids on this as the next step is to check the fuel system, it's not as bad as I initially thought on mine so hope yours ends up being the same fix I ended up on 🤞

Hi Ben, thanks for the comment and support. Total cost was £130 from @autodoc parts. Give yourself 3 to 4 hours at a steady pace doing it for the first time. You will find ince you done one side the next side will move more quickly. Hope that helps 👍
