I needed to change my Uber Eats strategy to meet my goals. I realized the best shift I could work throughout the day would probably be the dinner shift almost every night. I have started to move away from delivery driving during breakfast and lunch, even though there is still money to be made. This might be what I do for other apps as well, DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub.
All my viewers and subscribers have helped this channel grow quickly in the past few months, and thanks to everyone who is interested in my DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, and Instacart videos, I now want to give back to you. I did my first deliveries today, I worked 7 hrs and made $175 so I think that's pretty good for my first day. The most annoying thing that I came across was finding apartments, nobody puts their building number down, only their apartment number. And when you ask them for the building number they don't know it, how can someone not know what building they live in?

Sometimes the apt number is the street address. So 2300 Palm Dr is slot of times apt #2300. At least where I live.

@@stacybryan3133 thanks but most of the places I went to today the building number had no relation to anything 😂. The address was like building B apt 204 but the app only showed the apartment number so I was driving all around the complex. And eventually the customers met me outside

Do you have to use the navigation on there or can you use your own? I guess you have to use theirs so they can track your progress for the customer.

Biggest and most important lesson I learned over the last 45 days driving for UE? Have Google maps as your default, but VALIDATE THE ADDRESS IN THE UE APP IS WHAT GOOGLE MAPS SHOWS!! The UE app only sends Google the latitude and longitude for the address, not the actual street address. About 1 out of every 3 to 4 deliveries will be slightly off in Google maps, versus what the UE app shows. I make sure I verify every single address between both apps before I start driving. I haven't had a thumbs down since then.

Uber constantly sends me orders to restaurants that are easily 30-45 minutes away from me, and the drop off is further. I have a screenshot of an order today going 48 miles for $15. But on the other hand, I had a Starbucks order going 0.8 miles and got $25. There just seems to be way more gems there than DoorDash

Generally hidden tips are when the tip is over 4.00 and it goes less than 4 miles. If its more than 4 miles they will usually reveal more of the tip. So 6.50 is the key(at least in my market)

Gotta agree about some of this and thats that just doing really relaxed-chill, "hey, Ive got a few hours to kill, why not make a hundo and change" is this gig thing is a pretty nice overall bonus. Sure, days you put in to really hustle and try and make some real money is okay, its kinda like gambling really in the hopes of "no, no, no, no, no, OKAY sure, not a bad order". Its like ante in the pot.

That is true that they don't care about your car, gas, etc etc, but what I recently realized is even if you had a 8-5 office job, they too do not care about your car, the commute, gas, etc etc. The only diff is that with DD and UE, etc, you are probably driving more (stop and go more, which is what wears your car out more than highway driving).

I do dinner and lunch combos. Mostly dinner shifts . Fridays are the best so far even though I just started. I won’t work when it gets dark so starting winter here, I’ll have to go out earlier because it’s dark early here in the winter time

the worse pick ups are the one's in downtown food courts hard to find parking close and many spots are tow away zones... i just try to avoid those pickups all together now...

Dinner shift in my area used to be better than lunch, but now I see couples doing it for fun everywhere I look. $50 at best 11-3pm $35 at best 4pm to dark. Lots of new dashers, kinda small market. $100 in 3 and half hours, unheard of here. The only time I hit close to $100 is when ubereats throws me a few $10+ offers. Date night here is dashing :(

I started with Uber Eats and yesterday was my first day. Worked an hour at lunch, just to get a feel for things. 3 orders and 1 hour later, I was $15 "richer". Today I worked breakfast for an hour... $12 "richer". Keep in mind that I was mindful of the orders I accepted, keeping with a $2 per mile thought. Yeah, I am thinking the dinner hours will be my next target, and Friday evening too. Thanks for this video, it is rather reassuring!!!

I think some customers think they start the charge of tip at the location they had gotten they're item's towards location of drop off. But I'm seeing people are accepting. Even if the driver is too far. That's why the customer's don't understand that the driver was very far when accepting the order. I did that back in my days but there was no Uber or favor. I did it for the elderly, disabled and handicap community. I see there no app for grandparents raising grandkids delivery corporation. Well best luck to you.

This is the reason I like Uber Eats because it really pays when you do an excellent job for someone. They often tip more than the recommended amount, especially if you have a large order. Hey guys, when you're talking tips, please tell us what market you're working in. The information isn't relevant if you deliver in LA, and I am in a small town in Virginia.

The navigation on the UE is usually not accurate and not sure why they don't keep it updated. I like to use my google maps on my other phones as I am delivering to try and avoid having issues not getting the food to the customer.

The market i live in has become the cheapest. Not to mention people have become so rude. Yesterday marks a new low. Had a guy try to fight me cause they forgot an item. Guy calls me and asked if could read. That he would punch me in the mouth.So I try to remain professional. Then I find out he is not even missing food. "Its salsa" The restaurant promised all items are in the bag. As the food is sealed in a bag. As a driver thats the best you can offer is I asked. So I dropped my order and went back and got his salsa. Drove back and wanted to hand it to him personally. Since it was a leave at door. I'm 6'2 265 and he was 5'4 and all mouth.His face was priceless as I got out of my car and he stared up at me. I got the satisfaction of hearing one of the best "im so sorry sir stories ever" I swear I heard a squishy sound in pants as he walked off. Hopefully lesson learn for the lil guy.

Oh man i know that was a satisfying feeling 😊 Ive had one very rude customer so far. It was for a Chinese food order that had some technical problems to where they didnt even recieve the order when i got there and i had to wait a total of about 20 mins all together and i let the customer know about the reason for the wait and the issue and then when i was on my way when i was 1 min from their home they texted me "Hurry up I have company" I was so shocked and didn't really have time to respond and when i went to hand off the food it was to an older lady who looked like she was in her 60s maybe and i told her sorry for the wait and she said its ok without really looking me in the eyes. 😏 Unfortunately at that time i didnt know about rating the customer. I wish we could write things as a word of warning or to let other drivers know if a certain bad experience was had after an order is completed 😝 But rude customers are so dumb, they forget we literally know where they live lol it aint the same as leaving a trolling comment on the internet 😏 But im very glad you had the satisfaction hopefully humbling him and teaching him a lesson 😜

I tried that 14 an hr + tips thing td dd does in some markets. First time doing it shit sucks. I made like 18 in the first hr doing it then they sent me 2 no tip orders in a row then the 3rd was a 12 dollar subtotal going 9 miles. I un assigned it logged out went back to normal dash and made 60 in 2 hrs

is your acceptance rate high? I do both apps in a major city full of wealthy folks and on BOTH apps only 2/5 orders I receive are good. I usually just take those but recently I've been trying to take every one I get to raise the acceptance rate to hopefully get offered better orders but is that even how it works? I've been raising my rate the past few days and I still get mostly bad orders

I've noticed if Uber Eats sends a high paying order at night very often it's to a restaurant that isn't open or another driver already picked it up. So I drive to a place expecting good pay and due to forces out of my control I only get $3 that is if I feel like wasting more time calling support.

Yes, sadly the $3 is so minimal, drivers will cancel the order instead of calling support. The pay for the order increases until someone eventually wants to call in

I drove Uber eats for the first time yesterday (Friday). I tried 11am-2pm and 5pm-8pm. I made double the money during the day. I also noticed the few special offers I had got snapped up by other drivers and were unavailable to me within seconds at dinner time. Im willing to bet this is because the vast majority of gig drivers work a "real" job during the day and drive nights and weekends, especially Friday night. Im thinking Im going to make better money on weekdays when most these other drivers are at their jobs. We shall see.

I prefer to work after 8pm rather than dinner time cause no traffic and it's easier to deliver to apartments. Orders are still non stop may be less dashers worKing at that time.

hey i need help with uber eats a long time ago i signed up i didn't do any delivers i was deciding weather to do it has to be 6 months ago so last week i tried to get in it says account locked i did every time it told me to its says someone will contact me, that was 2 weeks ago, and the chat was ridiculous i said to my self ill open up a new account with my other email i send everting license id utility statement it said i was going to go over it, I've heard nothing any help with this ??

Hello, New to all of this. Been at it a little over 2 months. DD and Uber eats. Have a question if your acceptance rate is as low as your showing ( well under 50 ). This means no matter what it is and you have a catering bag and Door Dash knows you have it, will you keep getting catering bag offers no matter your acceptance rate? I have one and have gotten some but wondered if I continue to decline offers now that I'm doing Uber as well with Door Dash send me catering bags required order? I really like Uber but want to keep getting catering order offers in the evenings and be able to keep declining offers and wait for good one with Uber and catering ones with DD. Thanks 😊

I was just wondering how everyone deal with uber eat stack orders that went wrong. Say if you accept an offer for $20 for 10 miles, which look good. After picking up from the first restaurant, the second restaurant said the order isn’t available. So if you continue with the delivery, you could end up going 10 miles for an unknown pay, could possibly be just based pay no tip. But you already got the food from the first restaurant, canceling would be bad or is it?

When that happens to me I always call Support and I end up getting a small 'wasting my time' fee. It's normally around $3-$5 bucks. It's not much but it's better than getting nothing from the order.

That's your advice, work during the most popular meal of the day, when all members of the household are typically home, got it. Here's my tip, I know the jury is technically still out but I'm privy to some excellent information, so you don't have to wait! Here it goes, I can't disclose my source but it's on the inside, like by the way higher-ups, twist your neck up kinda up, okay without further ado, adue? adew? Whatever, okay, my tip, occasionally make up some creative story how you were able to secure there food, or get it right off the grill or something above and beyond, and communicate it like this. First you notify them that you are there, remember, just like you, when you're hungry you might be checking your phone every 2 minutes to see where your food is at and you don't want any snags or hiccups, no problems, you want your food before your tacos get soggy or your fries reach the 15 minute market and turn to dog food, so you tell them you just arrived and then tell them, long line, it will be a few minutes, then before they have a chance to react you follow it up with, disregard, you were able to slide your way to the front, your order is secure and you're on your way. Just do something to dramatize the experience and create the illusion that you are enthused about getting there order to them with a smile and better than anyone else could pull off the delivery. Stoners and college students and hip dads and hot moms are all about it. Not the elderly or Karen's, anybody in the sciences or high school coaching, these are no BS blokes with little sense of humor. Bee farmers, bartenders and sex workers are also cool and tip well but they're also not as interested in your story, even if you're late with the food they don't care, they still tip well and often don't even eat there order until later that night. They're you go, hustlers

I don’t know if anyone can answer this or not, but thanks in advance. I started with Uber Eats about 2 months ago. I got enough points in the first couple of weeks to become diamond status. I was getting order after order sent to me, and most were good orders. Then about 3 weeks into Uber Eats I got an email saying I had been approved for UberX and ride shares as well. My points disappeared but I was now able to choose from many different delivery services on the app. Food deliveries still one of them. But here’s the problem. Since I also started doing UberX, my food delivery offers have went way down. And when I say way down I mean I am getting about 10% of the request as before. And it’s not just when I have UberX turned on. I can turn everything off other than deliveries and still get very few orders. So my questions are these. First of all does my status have anything to do with this (IE being blue now and not Diamond)? Second, if not does having UberX turned on in the account have anything to do with it(not checked on your app but having it on your account at all)? Is it better to call and have all other Uber rides turned off other than deliveries? Also the orders I am being sent are not nearly as high as when I first started. I read somewhere that you don’t get the same orders with UE once you start doing rides but I have no idea. Can someone please help me understand all of this better.

You need to get the Uber x removed and just do deliveries. I could never get diamond or the $250 bonus because when you have the rideshare, you have to have at least 85% acceptance even if you have stopped doing rides for a long time.

There are way more ride requests than deliveries. If you want to do deliveries, you need to uncheck the Uber x and just have deliveries on, if you want to do rideshare, you can have the UE on but they're not going to send you food deliveries very often.

Does acceptance rate on UberEats affect you? I really want to start declining the $4 or less ones. So many $1 tips with exceptional service that I wanted to quit today…but I’m going to keep pushing and change my times of day.

My theory is nobody takes those super low orders they are only their shortly before being raised… it’s to train you… than you don’t feel as ripped off taking a 6 dollar order.

did you drive to hot spots? if they are paying peak pay they are short on drivers, but it may or may not be busy

Because you’re not driving around. DD and UE will punish drivers for staying around. You can do is drive around every 15 mins after staying a spot until you get a good order.

I got to be honest alot of times I get stacked orders on uber it will say just for example 18 for 10 miles now thats not horrible but not great.. I would take more like this if I new it was gunna be higher but without knowing I usually pass.. I'm just wondering how much cash I'm actually missing out not taking orders like that because alot of times it seems they are higher especially when it's from a high end restaurant or alot of items but unfortunately uber doesn't tell u item count or 2nd pick up till u already except if they did I'd be taking more orders tbh

I say they will not ever put the tips just as a customer I only tip after thr delivery in case the person who delivered was sloppy and I change it too so I know if I want pizza I will tip but the tip will either increase or decrease by performance not food obviously. My take on this tip thing.

I delivered for a few hours last night, on a Friday, and had a good night on DoorDash and had Uber on also the entire time, and literally only received 3-4 orders in the span of 4 hours 😂 not orders I accepts, only RECEIVED. the Uber call centers are in the Phillipines This is why the service for drivers is so inferior, the Phillipines people are not from America, Have thick accents, & Dont even comprehend the issues drivers have
