The irony of Channel Awesome doing a "serious" Anton Chigurh like character in a comedy movie is that Anton actually does have some goofy moments. The time I went on LordKat's show to talk about my experiecnes as a veteran as an online artist in the TGWTG community, I learn that he had extreme anger issues and it started my devolution into disgust with him. Whenever he got heated he would go on these "le epicc" rants that were full of easily debunked lies. Whatever got him mad in that moment was the cause of every ill in his life, and he would rail against them for minutes on end before moving on and pretending it didn't happen until soemthing else reminded him that he should be mad at it.

I kind of got that impression from his impassioned hate toward Spoony for supposedly ruining his chances in getting a job just for like, ONE outburst outside the room, all the way down at the E3 ground floor. That was actually more funny than not, Meme worthy even, but he still treated that moment as Spoony ruining his fucking life. Now I have issues with Spoony but that's more with his self-sabotage and lack of motivation to do much more than be miserable than his aggrandizing moments (which were, back in the day, tampered by both the fact he's a bit of a loser in-universe (nowadays out of it too) and his genuine comedic talent working well with his self loathing)

@@boxtank5288 Spoony has Bipolar II Disorder, also known by its older name Manic-Depression. How do I know? I have it too. It's also the same mental illness Kanye West has. He's also name-dropped his meds before and its the same stuff I was taking at the time and is only ever used to treat bipolar disorders. Why is this relevant? Allson constructing a reason to MeToo him and getting him fired from TGWTG took away his health insurance which took away his meds. He went off meds cold-turkey and turned to drinking to self-medicate. You don't get to have "issues" with a mentally ill person who wasn't even the architect of his own downfall and still be considered a good person.

So, Holly being a goddamn liar shouldn't surprise anyone at this point. She had a history of it. Woman was a total manipulator behind the scenes. I regret that I don't have the receipts for this (you'd have to talk to Angry Joe for confirmation since we dealt with it together) but she was the reason Angry Joe was removed as the head of the site, and the reason I was fired. Someone who wrote for the site with me, Eli Cymet (who now works for Team Alto) was a MASSIVE SJW. He was basically in Holly's ear smearing Joe and I as the worst ever and that the site would be better when we're gone. Well, Eli got what he wanted and I got fired. That came down from Michaud, so there was nothing that could be done. The lies about me being this terrible evil Bible-thumper ruining the site took effect, and she was part of the problem. So, in retaliation Joe fired Eli immediately. And her smearing others that she didn't like just to try and ruin their lives shouldn't surprise anyone.

LordKat apparently used to have very bad anger issues. He blamed Spoony for everything, but really what's most likely to have happened is that he didn't get that Notch interview simply because he was a nobody. Spoony and Joe on their own were arguably bigger than Blistered Thumbs as a whole even back then. Until We Win was a very small, niche show, and I don't even know if LK was podcasting back then. That podcast was something else, man. He took it all down and left the internet a year or two ago, but there's a channel with some of the podcast highlights. He did the shock jock gimmick, but often he'd say very heady, ugly stuff and mean it, like getting mad at his fellow podcasters for "not letting him talk," threatening Dan Olsen because he basically ruined the chance of 8chan ever getting into real trouble over CP due to his incompetent and disturbing reporting, or talking about pushing his mother to the floor when they got into an argument. I'm thinking maybe he took it all down because someone at his work told him to. Dude used to brag about having a very successful job and a 401K, but you could easily lose it all if the wrong person above you heard some of the stuff you'd say, "shock jock" style or otherwise. I will give LK some credit, though: he was very level-headed in his Extra Mana interview. I don't remember if he directly apologized to Spoony for his rant, but he did say he wasn't proud of the rant and that he didn't want Spoony to just become a statistic. Anyway, I never knew Holly Brown blamed LK for that grope incident. By his and the woman's account, it was all consensual. Diamanda Galas, another insignificant member of Channel Awesome, wrote a Tumblr post accusing LK of r-pe and he threatened litigation. She was supposed to have taken her post down, but you can still find it with a Google search. Maybe it's a repost, I dunno. Holly definitely has some skeletons in her closet. She DID very blatantly conspire with Spoony's ex Scarlet to get him kicked off CA. I'm not convinced Lupa dredging the JesuOtaku tweet back up wasn't part of the plan. Lupa can call it a conspiracy theory all she wants, but the fact is her behavior around this time and since then indicates she's just the kind of shitty person to hold a grudge over something petty. Cinematic Venom has his own fair share of problems, but Holly siding with a loser like ERod - who by his own admission wasn't even around when everything went down - even as he was acting like an asshole really rubbed everyone the wrong way. I can't believe Marzgurl and Lupa are friends with her to this day, given it very clearly looks like she knew about Justin the whole time. Marzgurl made that one video disowning Farewell Kamen Rider or whatever it was called and she looked devastated, asking why no one ever told her. Guess what, Kaylyn?! Your friend knew the whole time! Edit: Diamanda Hagan, not Galas. Diamanda Galas is a musician, and a great one at that.

In retrospect, dear GOD, I cannot watch some of the old shit I enjoyed without bracing my back against the cringe. But I was a young, dumb college kid, so what sort of taste did I know back then? Also, just to let you know, Bhargav/Ma-Ti was a friend of the Walkers who started off as some sort of production guy that wound up getting fired shortly after the end of SK because he sucked at his job, or something. I’ve gone into this pretty extensively in the past on other channels, but yes, I do think the Change the Channel document leaves a lot to be desired in its trustworthiness, given the unethical and immoral actions of its authors afterward. But as someone who has volunteered at a sexual assault helpline, who was at the time at least, crisis counselor certified and spoke with one of Jewwario’s targets, I am willing to confirm in an affadavit that the struggle-snuggles, assaults, and grooming took place. I can confirm who I spoke to and what I experienced. The worst part is that MeToo had poisoned the well to such a degree with falsehoods, that actual instances aren’t believed or taken seriously. You can follow step by step what happened at Magfest and what actually happened. For privacy sake, I won’t give specifics, but if you know where to look you can confirm events.

Also I’m positive that Lordkat made up that entire story about GDC. For one - he always complained about not having any money, so I doubt he was able to fly out to Germany for a 4 day conference. Second, Notch (famously introverted, avoiding publicity Notch) wouldn’t have done an interview with Lordkat. Jason and all of Blistered Thumbs was extremely unknown at the time. When IGN had a hard time interviewing 2012 Mojang, then Lordkat never stood a chance. They probably saw the spoony video because it went viral on forums and used it to block Jason’s entrance. The sheer delusion of all of the old TWTG creators always astounded me. They were and always will be losers that never made anywhere. Lol

The LordKat and Spoony stuff is so fucking fascinating to me. I struggle to accept the fact that someone is so shit at life that the one thing they believed would be their big break is fucking interviewing Notch. An interview with an indy developer who created a popular game is the peak that they never got to climb, the epic journey that was stolen from them. It's not oh hey ruined my project, or stole money from me stopping me from completing my dream, LordKat wanted to interview someone who'se side project got popular and his one chance at that fell through and ruined his life forever. Notch isnt some golden god that descends from the heavens to bless one person a century, he's basically an indy dev that got lucky and LordKat's magum opus was going to be asking this dude questions. I'm at a lost for fucking words at this. And the ego he still has trying to talk about Spoony as a little nobody.

Yeah, the LordKat thing always confused me. Sure, Spoony was exaggerated with his reaction to the X-COM reveal, but that's part of his character. Also, the 2010 X-COM game could've worked as its own thing (reveal trailer aside), but that's another discussion. Personally, I felt the exact same way when Bethesda cancelled Prey 2 and had Arkane make a reboot in 2017. I know that game has its fans, but I refuse to play it because of my hatred for Bethesda as a company, but again, a different topic. Going back to the Spoony thing, I doubt that one guy screaming in public would shoot down an interview, especially towards a lesser-known KZfaqr that isn't remembered as well. Granted, Spoony has gone through his own downward spiral, giving up reviewing and skits to become another mid-tier streamer.
