Like LSV said... If the burn player are able to cast more than just 2 burn spells per turn than he would have been able to get around the counter balance, but the red player had no patience after the lock was established, and was just spewing out spells without holding on to them.

+Jonathan Montgomery The joy I hear in LSV's voice when he announces that his opponent has no cards in hand and no cards in play is priceless

I wouldn't care about my opponent's fun if they're playing monored.

You really got to respect LSV for truely getting into/continue playing a lot of the "bigger" format of Magic (and not just in a token effort kind of way). This keeps Magic fresh for a longer time and also makes you a more "complete" player in the long run - and most of truely great players seem to start getting that idea.

In the background of the video I can hear those police sirens, theyre onto you lsv top playing that dirty deck

The cheese stands alone would have been great for your opponent at the end... Get there

Hmm, I play burn and I think I would side in the wear/tear over canonist. It hits two of the most important cards against you, those being Eidolon (if one sticks early and you don't have an immediate plow, it's tough to win) and Sulfuric Vortex (this is especially troublesome as it is a three). This matchup is pretty bad for Burn as the CounterTop combo locks us out of a ton of spells. Generally the only way to win is to stick a Vortex or Eidolon.

more like countertop feat. sideboard miracles XD

In game 1, you want to cast top off the island so you can cast terminus as a miracle if your opponent casts a creature
@clayvision6 жыл бұрын
you dont like terminus to counter fireblast?

Opponent casts Chain Lightning while Counterbalance is out, suddenly 20 seconds go missing from the timer... Don't think I didn't see that cut LSV, I'm on to you...

how do i download this game ??
@kbender56198 жыл бұрын
+arsenal4mo its called magic the gathering online... should be able to get it from the wizards of the coast website.. i should warn you that its a pretty big investment. You need to literally buy the cards you want to play in your deck. The deck he is playing currently costs around six hundred usd.

You want to leave in terminas for countering fireblast

In the last game, your opponent could have topdecked Thunderous Wrath to 5 you, but you could have just swords'd your Snapcaster to survive.

My Legacy career is 90% Miracles, 9% Burn 1% other and the real answer to counterbalance top is a) Being able to cast Abrupt Decay b) Cloudpost I HATE this matchup as burn player and looove it as Miracles even if it's not the literal worst/best matchup.

+Sean Metivier Out of all the legacy decks i have played with, re-animator has performed greatly against miracles. You can close game 1 very quickly because your deck is really fast and for game 2 you side in show and tells and take most of the re-animator cards out, while your opponent sides in graveyard hate.

Niko Harju I had main seck helm + rest in peace combo. Literally played rip turn 2 in game 1 and 2 once against dredge :D
@neverknowingnothing8 жыл бұрын
wow, ending the game with no cards in play or in hand, that's the only way for a burn deck to go. also, why is this deck even called miracles?seems like it would just do better without them.

Hand 1 game 1 has to be a mulligan. Sure it has land top, but the rest of the hand is either uncastable or does nothing. Literally the only thing the hand does is top, activate top. No counter balance, second land, brainstorm effect, or value engine. Hand is terribad.
@bentonmadsen41687 жыл бұрын
Hand 1 game 2 is a better hand overall, but is even more of a mulligan because you know you're against burn.
@sneakyninjaedit8 жыл бұрын
This Burn player is pretty awful. Instead of constantly throwing spells, they should have sandbagged for as long as possible. This is particularly relevant if there is Vexing Shusher in the sideboard, where blindly throwing Burn spells is serverely punished. Also, Snapcaster Mage isn't putting much of a clock at that point to decide to just go for it.
