Its been a while since ive done a channel update so i just wanted to take to the time to sit down and have a chat about whats been going on, where the channel is, where its going and show off some of the things i have worked on around the main projects.

Excellent content, nice relaxed and informative style. I have been trying to concentrate on projects that have been sitting around but you keep getting me interested in new stuff, Damn you!!!! just catching up with WOR and your crusade reports great stuff.

Great and very interesting update. One of the many things I like about your channel is that even though you are interested in, and play, a lot of periods / rules you maintain a good degree of focus (e.g. the channel is not continually leaping around in a jarring manner covering everything under the sun), your content is consistent too. You also cover the essential aspects of the hobby without majoring on any one thing (to such an extent that it could get stale); you cover the history and what you have found useful in terms of research, un-boxings, rules, building and painting armies and probably the best battle reports I've seen, again with a nice balance of chat, rules, tactics etc etc. As such I REALLY enjoy your content even if some of the periods may not be my specific area of interest. For all those reasons I'm happy to support the channel (one of only two that I find are worth it) by being a patreon. You come across as real gent too, the type of guy I enjoy playing against and would be happy to socialise with..

Hello mate, thanks so much for the kind words, I greatly appreciated them and the support. I try to operate the channel the way I operate my hobby and wargaming in general. I love the hobby and I wouldn't keep doing it (or KZfaq) if I didn't so to hear that people enjoy it as much as they do means alot 🙂👍

Your hobby energy is inspiring... motivating me to get on with my Almoravids! We play TTS! at the Newmarket and Ely Club if you ever fancy giving it a try. I know we can cover most ancient, medieval and ECW periods. It's a great game. Keep up the great work.

It sounds like exciting times ahead for 7th son! I have to agree when you say fantasy minis let you try out painting techniques. Nothing pushes your painting skill quite like fantasy miniatures do IMO. I’m looking forward to seeing your painting skills come on even further during 2024 😁

I really like your channel sir, I found you just searching for some War of the Roses in general. I like history and stuff, and somehow one of your miniatures videos got recommended. I think you got me into that stuff, I don't know if I would play the game, but I want to make a mini army now, seems like a good hobby and I want to decorate a bit my room. One of the things I like the most about your videos is when you show us the stuff behind the armies composition and such, like the books of the Wars of the Roses, I have bought a couple you have shown and I love them, I will put the one you recommended here on my TBR list. Have a nice day and please keep doing more videos :)

Hi, I am kind of new to wargaming and I have been watching your Hail Caesar War of the Roses Battle reports. I am trying to build my own wargaming surface and I was wondering where you might have gotten that large grass base to put your terrain pieces on. Really excited to see what you do next in your channel!

Thanks very much and welcome aboard 👍 so I use three 2 x 4 ft MDF boards and over that I put down a gaming Matt that I got from Wargamer who are a polish company. I'm now sure if they make it anymore however I highly recommend the fleece mats that Geek Villain produce 👍

Looking like a busy year. Nice painting. Those 15 and 10mm miniatures would require a magnifier for me. Any plans to do 15mm pike and shotte?

It is, and there's other things as well that'll be happening on top of all that haha. Currently no plans for pike and shotte in a smaller scale, simply because I have the large 28mm stuff. If I did do another P&S project I would most likely look at the Thirty Years War 👍

Love the channel, follow the battle reports. Favourites are Rangers of Shadow Deep and the Crusades. Got my copy of Graeme Turners book had it on pre-order, it didn’t disappoint an excellent book.

Great video! Glad you're going to cover some On Bloody Ground. I picked up the rules a month ago and love them. They remind me of WHAB Shieldwall supplement but better. Also, can't wait to paint your new minis, especially in larger scale.

Nice update Martin. Be careful not to spread yourself too thin. I am about half way done on my Lancastrians. I put some pics up on PCPC. It will then be on to samurai armies for Pike & Shotte 😀

So this will be the first one on that scale, if it does well then I may expand it to others as well. There are a couple of the sculpts which I think wouldn't really work larger but certainly there are a couple of the others I would consider 👍

Nice, I find that a great deal of 3d printed models are a bit chibi, the smaller you go the more pronounced it is...

Good to hear from you Martin on an update for the channel. I for one am so pleased to hear you will be doing more Black Powder. Your Battle reports series is just fantastic and as a new player to the game found them utterly brilliant and useful. With the new iteration of Dead Mans Hand from Great Escape Game coming out off the kickstarter I hope you get a chance to return to the Wild West....

I do want to get more black powder on the table as I do playing it 😁 I didn't back the Kickstarter in the end for DMH but only because of the sheer amount of stuff I have for it already but I will be picking up the new books and then there will definitely be a reckoning 😅
