She's here at last! What do you think of Steven Universe's most theatening Diamond yet? And while the whole fusion/fission thing also has the issue of... White Diamond maintaining her physical form, even though none of the other gems can do that - this was still a theory I wanted to take a closer look at, so what do you think? Theory= the diamonds worship the stars because they are made from stars. Lines from the show “Thanks the stars” or “oh my stars” and white diamond called pink diamond starlight as a nickname. Could it take the energy from a whole star to make one diamond? Or could it take the energy from a whole planet to make one diamond? Maybe that’s why the 4 diamond look different depends on what size sun or planet was use to make them. What do you guys think of this theory?

I noticed something about the diamonds "interpretation" of white diamond, Anyone notice Yellow claims white diamond is a conqueror, which is not that unusual. But Blue claims she's emotionally unstable? And Steven catches her acting like a mom? Anyone see a pattern here? Its similar to something they idolize, Ambition for yellow, Emotional openness for blue. A mother for Steven. But warped, made wrong somehow. Its just weird, I don't really have much else to say.

If they all fused it would not necessarily degrade into coal. *Black diamonds do exist.* They are most commonly referred to as _industrial diamonds,_ because of how they're most often used. Ever been watching some educational show and some dude in a hardhat mentions "diamond-tipped drills" or "diamond-coated blades," they are talking about black diamonds. IRT Steven Universe: It could be said that Black Diamonds are not that pretty, and are horrendously overworked, stressed beyond comprehension, and are literally burdened until they shatter. Seems like pretty good motivation for wanting to split apart into different kinds of diamonds, the kinds that are more appreciated and sought-after... more valuable. *Black Diamond* transformed herself into what other people valued, and lost the core of who she was, resulting in a mostly blank personality with bursts of anger that overpower her other aspects (the other diamonds).

Ok, ignoring all of the logistics, can we just appreciate how flipping EPIC it would be to have Steven fuse with not one, but TWO DIAMONDS to take down ANOTHER DIAMOND!!! Forget the temple fusion, THAT sounds like a series finale right there!!!

there is actually lots of real life facts in Steven Universe like: A Garnet being a fusion of a Ruby and a Safire through high heat and preasure, Amethysts are formed by the preasure of the earth and then they pop out to the closest surface, Bismuth are used as molds for forging since they do not melt in lava, something else is that the drillers in the kindergarten look and act like real life viruses by drilling in a cell (world in this case) and and leaving some sort of eggs to make more viruses (gems in this case)

My theory is that white Dimond is the only gem to occur naturally. She then went on to create yellow and blue and pink by splintering herself. With the difference being that the other diamonds where created much like any other gem. This would make sense to why the diamonds might have a part of white’s personality but there still able to be there own person and have other emotions/personality. We already see this with gems created by the diamonds

I already thought this before this video because the symbol of the diamonds are all lighter than their actual color. Blue is not blue, its lighter blue. Same with yellow. Pink is pink, and pink is red + white. In a general term, white is added to each color. Thats just what i think

Small theory. What if Steven is the only one who can stop white? He is a diamond after all. And like in real life. You can only cut a diamond with another diamond.

My theory is that there were originally two diamonds. White and black. Black split off into yellow,blue and pink. White remained to look after Black's fragments. White's personality reflects (or shows their deep seated desires) the diamond she currently facing. Steven spent the past seasons learning about his mother, hence the motherly tone she had when they talked. Yellow saw a conquerer. Blue saw someone mentally unstable.

The pink diamonds and pressure thing does sound like it has some effect. Pink Diamond is supposedly the youngest, so she would have the most amount of pressure to do something that would reach the other Diamonds.

Wait! Amethyst was shrunk because she stayed in the ground to long, maybe pink diamond shrunk smaller than yellow and blue because pink diamonds need more pressure to form pink! Also you forgot red and black diamond colors.

I do like the idea that White made the other diamonds (though not necessarily literally from herself), perhaps in an attempt to have more of herself with differences in the materials causing them to be different from her.

The diamonds might represent sadness, anger, and happiness because in Inside Out the literal personification of joy felt sorrow.

Imagine if this theory is true. The big fight at the end could be White Diamond reabsorbing Yellow and Blue Diamond, but can’t absorb Steven because he’s half human. Imagine a combination of Yellow’s will and strength, Blue’s uncontrollable emotions and White’s mind and apathy.

Isn't Ruby and Sapphires actually very similar if you bring real world logic into it? If I remember right, Sapphires are just Blue Rubies...

Well, based on what you just explained about the nature of colored diamonds, White Diamond could have still created the other diamonds by shedding the IMPURITIES that give other diamonds their color. I think the theory could still hold, but with the concept of purity/superiority over specifically color and emotion.

I'm actually kinda surprised that you didn't talk about how it was proven that our Pearl was originally White Dimond's Pearl. From the looks of it Pink had her own Pearl based on the look of the where the pearl location is on the Pearl we meet on home world. I think we can assume that when Pink got her own colony White Diamond had her Pearl switched with Pink feeling that Pink was not quite ready to be on her own and to probably keep tabs on her. And seeing how White is acting she probably knew Rose was Pink all along and damaged Pink's Pearl in anger at the betrayal of not only her own kin, but her own Pearl as well.

Ok but what about the theory that Pearl used to be White Diamond's Pearl? Yellow and Blue Pearls have their gems in a spot that corresponds to the Diamonds', but it's swapped on Pearl and White Pearl. Similarly, the Pearls have hair styles that are reflective of their diamonds, and our Pearl calls back much more to White Diamond. If White Diamond created the other diamonds by separating aspects of herself, what if she did that to a Pearl and the Pearl broke?

I just figured out why home world is fractured like it is, just think back to the centre of earth, in the story. Could it be that there was once a super fusion, in the middle of home world? at the very least, that would make a good cartoon conspiracy.

But with the movie coming and we see that scary Red Heart gem... what if Yellow isn't White's anger? And what if White finally separates her RAGE and creates... Red Diamond. That would explain why she has a temper now. Because she hasn't created the Diamond that fulls her rage.

I like the parallels between Pink and the Diamond Authority, and Amethyst and the Crystal Gems. They’re both small thanks to being overcooked, came from isolated and neglected backgrounds, and they’re dorky, fun, rebellious, and attuned to the youth.

I'm not a fan of the idea that Blue and Yellow are going to be forced to turn against Steven one way or another. A more logical Idea I feel would be only 1 of the Diamonds is forced to turn against Steven one way or another, while the other stays with him so they've a bit of an idea on how to defend themselves against White's future plans. The most logical choice would be Blue Diamond staying with Steven and the gems. She mourned the thought of Pink's shattering the most over all those years (I know that Yellow did too, she just hid it better and channeled her emotions in a different way), so her wanting to go against White's orders regarding Pink would make the most sense. She'd already lost Pink once before, she doesn't want to lose her again. It would definitely be an interesting dynamic with Blue staying on Earth. Whether or not she brings some of her own gems to Earth with her (it would be so hilarious to see Aqua Marine having to deal with the fallout of her attitude towards Steven and the gems knowing Steven IS Pink Diamond) plus it allows them access to the Zoo and all the gems there, along with Blue getting to see all the things Pink loved about Earth and why she'd fought so hard for it. Not to mention she could learn just why Garnet IS so important as a fusion. After all, she cares so much for Pink, so looking at it from a similar angle could help her understand. Of course, there's an even more interesting dynamic should ut be Yellow who stays with Steven against White. Unlike with Blue, Steven would have far less in common with Yellow, so seeing her trying to adapt to understand Steven, and by extension Pink's, way of seeing things would be an interesting experience as well as their different methods of getting things done.

I think you make a good point until 10:44 because fusions actually seem to mutate the gems if they aren't the same type. Especially if it's weaker gems like the fusion Smoky Quartz. And Fluorite is a huge fusion gem that is extremely slow and couldn't fight any Diamond. If anything gems are like chromosomes but instead of diverse DNA improving gems, it mutates them and makes them effectively weak. This is not even mentioning the fact multi-gem fusions aren't stable ( like Garnet, Sardonyx, etc).

I think this theory has been proven, by what White Diamond says in the later episode Change Your Mind. White Diamond says, "Poor Yellow, her impurities absorb all the blue in her light...". Referring back to what you said, "Yellow diamonds are caused by the additional presence of Nitrogen that absorbs blue light...". "And Blue, her impurities soak up all of the warmth in her spectrum." Also referring back to what you said, "Blue diamonds have this color is because they contain trace amounts of the element Boron within their structure, which contaminates the hue, which leaves in blue." By her saying all these things in that episode, it's implied, at least in my eyes, that all the Diamonds were created by White diamond when she separated herself. Or as she states, she's removed all of the color in her spectrum which she deems as flawless. Maybe sometime in the past, White Diamond, who was I think, Black Diamond, hated herself for having flaws. Because flaws will end up causing pain. And so, she got rid of them by separating light from herself onto other inanimate diamonds, which would all end up becoming Yellow, Blue, and Pink Diamond.

In the process of getting rid of her colors, White Diamond believes she wouldn't have any flaws and can better rule Homeworld. But that is a flaw in of itself. By getting rid of her flaws, her emotions, she won't be able to contradict herself, or have any second thoughts of her decisions. And White Diamond thinks this is a good thing. But, this is what lead to Homeworld gems and the other diamonds themselves thinking this is the "Perfect" empire.

White diamond did tell pink diamond that pink was a part from white. This was on the final episode of season 5. It was never explained what she meant from that. She said she holds all the colors of the spectrum but she might have created the diamonds from her emotions. Not completely getting rid of them but just a fraction. Which is why she can show emotion but has a hard time.

Okay but I feel like this could still be possible, with how Yellows sweat was preserved in the extraction chamber and how Stevens own just suddenly turning a rock to life, as well as the resource shortage when Pink was gone. This could mean that before the Diamonds came into being, White had Blue and Yellows unliving gems and somehow used a part of her ro bring them to life, and then Pink. But what could've made White?

I think white diamond was made under perfect conditions, maybe in the heart of a star? But whatever it was, it was never replicated, maybe because there's not enough resources anymore. Gems would get smaller and more colourful due to imperfections in their makeup. ofc that, in a way, makes them more special.

I have two possible theories to explain something a bit, What if the reason why the diamonds have different emotions is because either those emotions branched off of the original? Like when someone is really frustrated or angry they cry? And the other was the diamonds were separated from their original creator for so long that they gained their own personalities?

There is a theory going around that by the end of the series Steven will have to give up his gem to gain his full humanity. What if he somehow passes it to White in order to give her empathy?

I do like the theory that pink was the first diamond since she can create life/gems and white since she can manipulate light / minds she played some trickery

Onion is secretly an agent of a third, as-of-yet revealed sentient alien species, placed on Earth to infiltrate human life and the crystal gems to discover our weaknesses. The series finale of Steven Universe will be a shitty Deus Ex Machina twist where peace talks between Earth and the Homeworld are interrupted by a massive fleet of Onion people, who annihilate both civilizations in one large, sweeping barrage. Here's my theory on how the Diamonds were created: "A group known as the Black Plummers(from Ben 10: Omniverse), created the Diamonds..... This group(formerly known as Team Alpha--since the Red Plummers now have that name), was very proficient in conducting science experiments. These guys began experimenting with earth gemstones, caidonite(or kaydonite DNA) & human DNA, mixing them together. Then, they stick the experimental gemstone in the ground & wait for it to grow. After that, they program the gem to do what it was made for----until the gems(one of whom, who would later become White Diamond) became sentient & rebelled against their creators. After defeating a small group of Black Plummers(who also created the snake people,btw), the gem who became White Diamond, found a planet(with a lot of moons), well endowed with the resources she could use to grow her army. Using the stolen "Plummer tech", she begins to build & grow her army. When the resources began to run out, she sent the two other gems(who became Blue & Yellow Diamond), backed up by her forces(armies) to seek & conquer planets to create more gems. This explains how Yellow & Blue Diamond, got their colonies--& during this time, Pink Diamond was created(who later obtained Earth as her first colony.). When Pink Diamond saw that her actions were harming her first colony, she took some of its species(humans, i.e.) & placed them in an area so that she could study them. Next, Pink Diamond fakes her death--with Pearl's help & permanently reforms as Rose Quartz to protect the Earth. So the civil war & the Steven Universe series begins....."

There are two kinds of color: Light, and Pigment. Pigmentation is the color of substances: whatever color a material appears to be is actually just the colors it doesn't absorb when light hits it. If pure white light were to hit a very green plant, the plant would absorb the reds and blues and reflect back only green, for instance. This also kinda implies that the true color of things is the combination of colors that they absorb, not the colors we see them reflect, but that's an existential crisis for another day; Pigment, the colors we use to depict things in paint or designs, different from fusions of light for this very reason. Light is the opposite, being split by what it reflects off of, rather than being divided by its nature. The primary colors of Pigment are Cyan, Yellow, and Magenta; these colors, when combined, create Black, the presence of color, opposite of white, the absence of color, that which is only seen when a material reflects all light. Contrast to the primary colors of Light: Blue, Red, and Green. These are the colors used by screens and LEDs to depict any countless number of images with lifelike precision. The cumulation of pure red, green, and blue, creates white, the presence of light, opposite of black, the void of light. Steven Universe doesn't seem to be playing at this being metaphorically represented in the Diamonds, for numerous reasons.

Actually the Magent Cyan Yellow colours are used a lot in other countries (idk if its the same in the U) as an alternative colour scheme. In school we are thought about the addictive primary colours (red, blue and yellow) but also the subtractive primary colours (cyan, magenta and yellow) and the thing about it is that in art classes we use the subtractive system more as it is easier to work with in paper where basically you have white as a starting colour and then when you "subtract" the colours from it. So this actually goes with theory something that started white but then subtracted the primary colours from it. So if yellow blue and pink would fuse it would be kost likely form black diamond according to the whole cmy system theory. In the end I still doubt it is true but indeed the colour scheme thing adds up.
