Жыл бұрынGang fights, assault and terrorism - just some of the incidents Inspector Priscilla Lim has to deal with as part of the Emergency Response Team that protects Singaporeans from some of the most violent offences in the country. Insp Lim describes herself as "petite" and admits she sticks out among her counterparts. She's 1.54m and is 49kg but often carries up to 17kg worth of gear to be combat ready.

Do you live in Singapore? If so, maybe you could answer me a question. I hear Singapore has very strict laws against criminals. So being that laws are very strict, and punishment is very severe, I would think violent crime is quite low in Singapore. Is this true?

Trust me, I'm pretty sure most American men who made negative comments in this video, will never know what carrying 17kg on a daily basis is like. I train calisthenic and wear 20kg weight vest everyday, and still exhausting as hell. Kudos to the fierceless and brave lady.

3 times a week, I wear a 8kg weighted vest and walk 3 rounds around the park (approx 4km) near my house and my body aches from it. She walks with double the weight. I salute her.

I say from experience that if your plate carrier and belt are set up right, there's not much discomfort and body adapts but what's concerning is that for a very small frame, long term her joints will suffer a lot of wear. Especially lower back, knees, hips and ankles. Really not good for her long term. Hope she gets promoted quick and gets out of the streets asap.

God forbid her 90kg teammate gets injured in a firefight and she has to drag his injured body out of the line of fire. Hers is an outright position of privilege, the privilege of being in Singapore where real policing is the occasional burglary and theft, not full blown gun fights. Otherwise, no one in their right minds would want to partner with her on the streets, it is a crippling disadvantage if I know that my partner will not be able to fireman carry me as easily as I can fireman carry him.

I want to try that MP5 so bad. I work on the southern border of America, big distances, so we use M4's. Our primary weapons are different from your secondary's. This entire women empowerment is great for women and particularly the economy. Kudos to her. She must have great qualities to be given such responsibilities. It does not change biology or realistically the outcome irl that an average guy can easily outmuscle and overpower her. The US army tried their best to be all inclusive and incorporate ladies into their team. The small sample of trial shows that mix gender teams tend to perform worse and have a higher mortality rate as guys somehow instinctively always throw their lives away to protect women who cannot outsprint and outmuscle the enemies. People and governments have every right to be woke or against it. However, in places and jobs that protect lives, being sensible and realist is far better than being an idealist.

@@Justme-ir8qu yes. Basic physics. A 90kg guy can easily outmuscle a 70kg guy. A 70kg guy can easily outmuscle a 50kg lady. If weight, height and gender are pointless, we should just merge male and female into one category in sports. We should not divide sports by weight classes and gender. To date, the female weight lifting record and sprinting record in olympics have been broken countless times by HIGH SCHOOL BOYS. Not even fully grown adult men. My statement stands. An average guy can easily outmuscle, over power and out sprint her.

This is beyond stupid. She's leading a team, yet isn't physically capable of carrying a single person if they needed help. Just stop with the quota hire nonsense. Nobody is saying she can't be ON THE TEAM... sure, whatever... But leading it? That's just silly.

What concerns me more is they are the police and if she ever has to be physical with anybody how would it go? Hopefully she doesnt immediately resort to lethal means.
