Why is it specifically a US museum and UK’s? Does that mean the US plans to build an actual organic relationship with Nigeria or is this just a show of some sort of goodwill, whether it’s a real one or not. Anyway, Nigeria is probably the only country in west Africa that perhaps has a neutral stance towards the US. The rest are hostile, even if their leaders are mindlessly following their directives.

In 1897, there was no country called Nigeria. Benin kingdom was a sovereign state led by the Oba of Benin before the advent of colonialism and the country that is called Nigeria today.
