Very Painful. I am a fully trained Cardiologist. I was in the National assembly many years ago (2010) seeking job as a in-house physician . I went round with my CV for several days until I became exhausted and gave up. Everyone I saw there just laughed & told me that "there is no vacancy". I even tried to drop my CV , but they treated me like a begger looking for food and refused to offer a way to drop my CV ! In retrospect, thank God I dd not get the job ! BUT the point is that this thing will happen gain and the outcome will sadly not be different. They will just say "It's God's time !"

I think it is safe to say several office holders who feigned medical emergency in the past have made it difficult to know when it is an actual emergency situation.

Etop you were a great man, you put your life down for the sake of your work. You complained you needed rest before going to work but you didn't want to disappoint your bosses, you have a big vacuum in our hearts, you died on the work you love most

As a country,we need to set right out priorities! Emergency will not wait for that flight out of the country. Why are the armed forces or paramilitary not trained in BLS?! God grant him eternal rest. Amen God grant us visionary leadership that prioritize the most important things in life: healthcare, education and security

In Opraraji's case there was no CPR and focus was on using the ambulance which was said to need a push. Okocha's team mate suffered the same thing but an immediate CPR saved him. Then Okocha statement , "if it was in NIgeria, he would have died", was seriously criticized.

The national assembly clinic is a no go area for the senators as they prefer foreign hospitals and private hospitals. God have mercy on this country

It's unfortunate that this man died. It's the culture in Nigeria. Nigerian leaders prioritize luxury over safety. They would rather spend millions of dollars on residential buildings occupied by themselves and jeeps for themselves.

Instead of buying expensive SUVs and luxury homes and extravagant girlfriends, they should invest on having Nurses or EMTs in every committee room

Nigeria is years back on this situation of cardiac arrest issues. every amateur football/sports field here in Europe is equiped with defilbrilators. And lawmaking offices that consists of middle age/ old people lack basic emergency equipments, misplacement of priority everywhere in Nigeria..😔 My condolences to late customs officer fakilies...🙏

I'm very disappointed in the braodcasting station for not giving more airtime to a VERY important health broadcast on CPR and the use of emergency equipment and devices on the topic at hand. It is also very important, for all government offices, entities, businesses etc to be equipt with such emergency equipment and devices as well as train personnel in forat aid and advance first aid.

It's very simple, have a medical outstation on each floor. Secondly, enlighten and train Nigerians on how to administer CPR. He should have received first aid right there in the committee room until the arrival of the medical personnel to move him.
