Because the Industry is Lazy and greedy. They look for good singers but not great ones. Good is easier to find and you have more of good which translates into more sales. Great is hard to find and will mean fewer sales. This is what great sounds like. The old labels went for great "only"

god damn! I'm crying in the office right now because when she was singing in whistle, she literally raised my vibrations and sent to another plane. She has this deep, intense ability to take you to heaven. The keys backing her just made it even more surreal. I salute her. I wish she would have been given the same opportunities as other singers with her talent in the 90s. It's so unfair. But guess God knows what He's doing. And I guess moving our souls is her purpose on the planet. This right here is ministry.
