I wanted to respond to the gift with purchase. I totally understand and respect everyone's thoughts on this. It's similar to brands at the Department store; they've been doing it for years. I'll never forget one time I was at the Lancome counter , years and years ago. I saw this amazing bag filled with stuff, I wanted it SO bad. It would be perfect for my makeup, and it was so cute. I found out I had to spend $150 to get it, but didn't understand that the bag would also cost $100. So, basically you had to spend the $150 to qualify, and you then could purchase it filled with deluxe sized products for $100.. When she gave me my total, my mouth dropped. I thought it was $150 ÷ tax. Lol. Fine print on the advertisement card sitting on the counter. I was upset and I told her never mind, I didn't want the bag and the few extra items I added to my list that I didn't need just to get it to the $150. 🤪 I ended up spending $60 and no bag. Haha. I bring that up because I've also been frustrated with Gift with Purchases , so I understand that perspective. Regarding this bag with Chantecaille, I was pretty excited because the bag is really nice quality and it's very easy to spend $600 on their website. I just spent that much during the Nordstrom sale and didn't get a super cute bag🤣 So, it depends on how you look at it, I guess. I was pretty excited that they offered that this year to their customers. But, again, I appreciate and respect everyone's opinions on this subject😁❤️ Thanks for watching, and I hope everyone has a great week😁

Having to spend $600 to get a “free” bag is actually kind of hysterical to me. The insane markups on luxury makeup and very low cost of unit per bag means the brand is ALWAYS winning huge on this arrangement and you’ll have a white tote with a makeup company name on it that will be dirty in two days 😂.

@@ccchic2 For sure, and if people were planning to spend that much anyway, then cute little perk. But it’s being used as a selling point to incentivize people to spend more (I’ve already seen two other reviews comparing it to Dior, obviously a company talking point) so my comment was basically saying it’s a cheap tote bag that isn’t worth going over budget for.

I just spend $700 during the Nordy sale and didn't get a cute bag 🤣 But I totally understand everyone's opinions on this. And I respect it. I just pinned a comment giving my thoughts on it. But just know, I always respect my audience and their opinions, especially when they differ from mine😁❤️ with that said, It's funny that others have compared it to Dior. That was the first thought that came in my head when I first saw it. I've wanted a Dior bag SO BAD, but I only buy a luxury purse about every 3 years (that's how long it takes to save my money lol) and I'm only a year since I bought my last one lol. But, Chantecaille NEVER compared it to Dior. In fact, in my emails with them, it only mentioned the bag one time in explaining the sale. So they are not marketing this as similar to Dior. That was just my first thought and what I think of when I look at it. 😁 Thanks for watching ladies, hope you all have a wonderful week❤️

This is insane and just shows how out of touch and tone def whoever thought of this 'promotion' is. $600 on overpriced makeup to get a very, very 'meh' tote 🙈. Almost insulting. Having said that, love Tara and love the channel. It's nice to see the number of subscribers grows, so deserved

Many you tubers need to come back to reality and realize not many of us have $600 to spend on makeup. Thankfully because of us KZfaqrs can afford $600 price points. So out of touch. Happy for the others who can afford it. Just don’t act like it’s not a big deal to pay that insanity.

Thank you for what you do... Im enjoying your videos. I unfortunately agree with most other viewers with regards to this sale & "special gift". I hope that chantecaille reps read this...the bag that is offered is kinda shameful. It's cute for "free" - but it should just be a special giveaway since they rarely offer any discount or giveaway. It's certainly not an incentive, it's more of a turn off really. Also, although I like free giveaways as much as anyone else... I'm not likely to carry a bag that is advertising their name brand & if so- I should feel like I'm getting a"deal"..not, oh spend $600.00 & we'll "give" you this"gift"... that's crazy& not even comparable to most makeup/ skincare brands & the typical gifts they offer 🤪. Really though - let's be honest... it's not going to take much to hit $600.00 - esp IF you buy their crazy out of range costs of skincare... especially for a department grade skincare & % (not medical grade)...but I do like their makeup.

I think I was just shocked that you had to spend 600.00 to get it...but it doesn't take much to get to that level. I'm used to 150 - 300.00 I guess with the other mainline brands. I did however really appreciate your code & I ended up buying 400.00+ worth - makeup & the serum (major splurge for me)... so thank you for the code - it definitely helped!

I noticed that your skin has been looking amazing! So glad you found a holy grail product for it! I am Sahara Desert dry, so I know the struggle bus route of skincare, once I find something that really works, you can’t pry it from my fingers!! (Looking at you expensive Tatcha indigo skin repair!)

I totally agree with your assessments on the blurring powder being too mat and chalky. the bronzer being patchy and not blending well and the blushes being too powdery. I thought it was just me b/c so many influencers rave about these products. Took your advice on the lip chic color, Tea Rose, and purchased it along with Sunrise and the eyelid base - thank you for sharing the code. Your reviews are so helpful!!

I remember every summer Sylvia sales was 30% but this year is only 25%. Not sure why they change it?

My guess is it’s because Chantecaille was acquired by a big conglomerate earlier this year. It used to always be 30%, also noticed they no longer call it the Sylvie (birthday/anniversary) sale and some of the items are no longer available. ☹️

I’d expect a bag filled with tons of free Chantecaille samples for spending $600. Of course, I’ve never spent nearly as close to that amount on makeup or skincare but I did pick up the Future Skin Foundation in Alabaster. I also plan to get the eye cream Friday

Ahhh, thank you so much❤️❤️ My hubby is from Florida, and we spend a month there every year visiting with his family. I hope one day we can live there, at least half of the year😁 I love Florida, it's my favorite place. hi Beautifulness :) your eyes are GORGEOUS with this nude 'n' neutral look. tbh this video really surprised me bcz i've always been a huge colored eye shadow fan. and it never occurred to me that shading, contouring & sculpting the eye with nude & flesh tones would (or even could) create a look that was just as gorgeous on the eye as traditional pigmented & colored shadows are. i'm always learning so much from this channel...such a cool video !! hv a gr8 day :)

Thank you so much for this! I took your recommendation and got the mascara because I totally trust you after your Lancome Idole review. 😀I'm wondering if the Chantecaille will eclipse the Lancome as my new favorite as well. I really like the Mattifying Cream in terms of the texture and scent. It gives a nice matte finish to my skin without looking too flat...but...you are right! I can only wear it on days I'm not wearing makeup because it always makes my sunscreen, foundation, powder or anything I apply over it pill up. 😐It's also not moisturizing enough for me, it's really more of a no-makeup day primer. I'm up to Episode 6 of Virgin River. 😍Thanks again!

Oh, I'm glad I'm not the only one who has experienced that with the Mattifying Primer. It NEVER works under Foundation 🤷‍♀️ But that's a great idea to wear it on the no makeup days to keep that area from being shiny throughout the day. Definitely going to start using it that way so it doesn't go too waste😁 And, I'm so excited you're loving Virgin River. YAY🎉🎉 It's such a feel good series😁❤️

@@TaraLynnbeauty It's definitely not just you! I tried it with all of my foundations, including the Chantecaille Future Skin and the Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick. Pilled up every time! At $99 a tube, you know I'm cutting that tube open to get every last drop. 😂I can't stand wasting expensive products so I'll just use it on no makeup days. I'm loving Virgin River! I'm already looking forward to the work day ending so I can watch more episodes. 🥰Thanks again!

It's too bad you don't get commission Tara. I would of loved to support you while buying Chantecaille makeup. With that said, no way I would of spend that much money on getting the freebie. Especially because I believe you cannot return anything once you purchase from their site.

Chantecaille s Mermaid eyeshadows are a real unsung hero. The formulas of both the matte and shimmers are so buttery. I have Sylvie and Starfish..and often times these are all I use as one and done eyeshadows.

Tara I have loved your channel since you started…. But honestly $200 and $300 skincare is really outside of most people’s grasp right now. Also, Chantecaille as a brand has not shown any support for women right now with abortion rights being stripped. I will not be purchasing any of their items.

I found the lifting serum to be a bit heavy. Today I let it absorb for 3 minutes. 😊 It makes a difference. Im usually a slap and go type so thanks for slowing me down. Especially at that price.

Omg i hate that blur powder too. It made my skin look awful and turned me such a weird colour. Even my husband who hardly notices anything noticed that!! Luckily i could return it

Good to hear some of their skin care products work for you but for me they destroyed my skin. Due to my skin barrier destroyed from exclusively using Chantecaille mainly because of the natural ingredients and fragrance, I ended up getting rosacea. I never had rosacea before, my dermatologist told me to STOP using them right away and going back to my previous skincare which was Drunk Elephant with ivermectin medicine to treat my rosacea and my skin was back to normal in about 2-3 months. It was a personal experience but I want to share for anyone with rosacea or skin sensitivity so they can be forewarned. I love their make up products however, the bronzer and finishing powered are bomb, I keep coming back to them.

I used their eye makeup remover and had a reaction to it. I'm fine with cheaper brands like simple, Nivea etc

@@daniellesebire2508 Same. I use Neutrogena oil that’s fragrance free. Recently I got the farmacy green fragrance free balm (thank god they added that to their line) and it works perfectly for traveling as it’s a balm and not liquid. I saw on KZfaq the other day that cerave also came out with a makeup remover balm, im excited to try that. However, price wise it felt more expensive for drug store.

Hi RP! I have rosacea, so I appreciate you sharing your experience. You mentioned that you were prescribed an ivermectin product to assist in healing your skin. Is that a topical treatment, or something you take by mouth, or ?? I’m curious and will be googling! lol! Thank you!!

I'm really enjoying the Future Skin and the Just Skin, they both work so well on my normal to dry skin. Obviously, the tubes of blusher (), highlighter (Brilliance) and bronzer (more shades are needed). Incidentally, my bronzer is like water!! I've squished it, shaken it and rolled it and it's still watery. I haven't used it this year (or the highlighter and blusher - which are still creamy) but it still ought to be creamy, right 🥴???? As gorgeous as it is, I've got zero chance of getting the "free" tote. I've really had a spending spree and I MUST be selective with any future purchases. The skincare seems so good but it's not in my price range atm - also, I have a ton of skincare that I have to get through. Thank you for sharing these lovelies with us ⭐⭐ Love you lots 🤍💛🤍💛🤍💛🤍

That's so weird that your Bronzer is watery.. Have you thought about emailing them? They may be able to help🤷‍♀️ I haven't had that with mine, and I've had it for almost 2 years now. Something isn't right with the tube you have. Is the gel bronzer a universal shade. Will it work for a medium tan skin tone

I have worn it when I'm more tan and it shows up on me. But, I wouldn't say it will work for darker than tan. They definitely need a darker shade. 😁

Sorry for the confusion, I should have elaborated. I absolutely LOOOOVE Tatcha. Still use their cleansing oil in the morning😁 the dewy skin cream and the Indigo Night cream will always be a back up. But, while I was away, using the deluxe sizes of the Chantecaille, it just worked for me so I continued to use them and my skin has never been better😁 But Tatcha is a ride or die brand for me. Honestly I wish there was just the option to buy the bag...last year I spent $100 for the cutest gold leaf acrilic clutch that they were selling as part of their holiday collection...just the purse not including makeup...and I LOVE it! its the perfect wedding guest/fancy occasion clutch...so yeah i probably wouldve dropped $150-250 for this bag, its VERY similar to the Dior and I'm really digging the size!

@ladymissg76 Mine was $500 before the discount, so i wasn't anywhere near the $600. And to be honest, as cute as the tote is, I wouldn't have pushed my cart over $600 to get it. It's only great if you're already buying that much and need to stock up. Many people wait for the Sylvie Sale to stock up on their Skin care , so in that case, it's a nice perk. But definitely not worth pushing your cart to receive it🤪

She uses several of their products. Her skin is so sensitive, it's the only brand she can use and keep her rosacea at bay. Chantecaille is very expensive, I wish It was cheaper lol. But, I know she loves the Aromacologie line. She also loves the Bio Lifting Serum that i talked about in this video. But I think her fav is the Aroma line. It's the most gentle😁❤️ Hope that helps😁

I'm in search of a new foundation. As of a couple of weeks ago, I started going through hot flashes that make my face sweat like crazy and my holy grail was Dior Air flash. 😢

Chantecaille is one of my absolute favourite brands. I haven’t tried their skincare however, apart from the phyto toner and their rose water mist which I adore. That serum has definitely peaked my interest. And the anti aging skin tint…..I’ve been eyeing it for a while wondering if I can use it as a bronzer as I love the tone of it……hmmmmmm what to do, what to do???? Goa is one of my favourite bronzers….I have those two shades in their blush and never thought to mix them….will be trying that!!!!

I am actually starting to love the skin care more than their makeup. It's SO dang expensive so I have to pick which products I can buy and which ones I can't. (And I'm always BEYOND grateful when they send it over in PR lol, especially that Bio Serum 🤪 But, I just ordered it today making sure I get one during the sale. Excited for you to mix the 2 Blushes, it's such a beautiful shade, my fav way to wear them😁❤️

Unfortunately Chantecaille does not ship to Puerto Rico. Which amazes me a lot because they are supposedly pro-planet and cannot ship to a US territory when so many companies like Charlotte Tilbury ship to the island safely and quickly. 🤷🏼‍♀️

@myrna laboy lopez My hubby ravs about it. His favorite part was hanging out with the locals, and he said a sweet family invited him to a family dinner. He laughed and said "What i didn't know, their family dinner consisted of over 60 people" 🤪 And he said it to this day has been his favorite family dinner. He admired everything about Puerto Rico, from the beautiful beaches, but more so the people and their culture. He said they all are family on that island. He just loved it and raves about it all the time. One day😁

Okay - $600 to get a free tote. 🤣🤣🤡🤡. I find this completely absurd. I couldn’t imagine being able to spend over $250 on makeup, let alone $600. Not trying to be a hater - but seriously. And I mean this towards the brand, not you. Totally ridiculous with this economy the way it is.

I just spent $600+ on the Nordy sale and didn't get a nice tote. Lol. It is a nice bag for Chantecaille's customers to receive, especially those who wait for the sale to stock up on their skin care. Why is the whole comment section one hundred comments complaining about a bag? Dear Lord, Tara thank you for this video and telling us about the bag and minimum spend. Buy $600 worth of Chantecaille, or don’t. We all know that Tara reviews luxury makeup, it’s literally in her channel description. I watch Tara because if I am going to buy pricey makeup, then I want to know if it’s worth my money. I don’t trust many beauty creators, but Tara and Theresa. I finally found my KZfaq people. They aren’t 25 and don’t pretend to be, that’s why I trust them. I don’t want dupes, I want the real deal. I have found that a lot of luxury products are way better for me personally than cheaper versions. Thank you again Tara. Now, let’s stop whining about the promotion, Tara didn’t invent this promo.

I have to be Honest, I Came here just to use your code, but this intro got me really sad. I really trusted your opnion and see the U$600,00 bag thing turn me off. Compare to Dior … if you knew how tip this bag is made in China 😂😂 I Know You’re working with the Brand and need to talk about the bag but don’t say like is normal thing to spend U$600 to get a cheap bag like it’s a great deal! I just lost the trust that I have on You! Sad

I'm so sorry you feel that way. I need to clarify a few things. I am not "working" with the brand. Yes, they sent me the bag with a few items, but I would have done a video on the Chantecaille products regardless because the sale was happening. I absolutely love the tote, that just comes from the excitement of it, nothing more❤️ i have always wanted that Dior bag and that was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw it, of course it's not Dior quality, but it is very sturdy and is built very well. I was happy they gave me a code, first year I was offered new a code to give to my followers, my excitement was about it all collectively 😁 I personally love their skin care, the more I use it, the more I love it. I know customers who have been buying Chantecaille for years, long before they became popular on KZfaq. I thought it was a nice gesture to celebrate the sale by offering a nice gift with purchase, knowing many customers wait for the sale to stock up on their skin care, makeup etc. But, it was never my intent to make it all about the purse. I apologize if it came across that way. I appreciate your honesty, I need an open dialog with my followers, and that can't happen without honesty, full transparency on both sides. So, I truly appreciate you sharing how you REALLY felt, and I promise to take note of it, learn lessons, and do better in the future❤️❤️

@@TaraLynnbeauty I totally respect your different view and am a fan of the channel but being able to drop $600 at "Nordys" isn't a normal experience. On some level you must know this? It's not normal to spend all that on skincare/make up at once. They are only rewarding super rich customers. They are steeply priced compared to other brands in the market and the bag doesn't cost that much to make. There is a high profit margin on both bags and make up. I think its disrespectful almost to customers that buy bits here and there as they can afford it. A $600 drop is a pretty unattainable purchase for most people.
