I'm surprised anyone remembers this game! It was one of my favorites back in the day.

This game was doing so many advanced gameplay mechanics for that time. It's like it came from the future. It still is a pure gem to this day, at least with combat mechanics, stunlocks, hitboxes, timings, weak spots, bosses, etc. It was so advanced and polished!

- Boss: *Summons minions* - Shadowserg: *Ignores the hell out of them and sends the boss into oblivion with no damage taken* - Minions: Are we a joke to you?

this game somehow hold itself well in 2020. in terms of graphics and such. it's astounding.

ohhhhh man ...what a great memories from the golden age of gaming ..Chaos Legion is one of the few and one of the best capcom games that took avery huuuuuuuge part in my childhood. The characters in this game is sooooo memorable and unique in my opinion, the story is deep and hard to understand, also the soundtracks is amazing and it makes you engaged with the game all the time . like every capcom game, i bought this game at launch back in 2003 on the ps2 and without kidding i still have this game until now in my collection , i remember when i come back from the school complete playing before going to do my homework .. I repeated it millions of times and leveled up every legion and used all of their abilities in my playthrough ..the game is hard as hell especially when you play it for the first time and you will die alot until you find the best legions that helps you to progress through the missions and to kill the bosses at the end of every mission ,i remember died ahundreds of times when i played it at the first time , really one of hardest games back in its time in my opinion . Thanatos always will be my favourite legion especially when you leveled him up at maximum level , he is the strongest one in my opinion , but also every legion has its unique ability and power that helps sieg in his battles ..i also love arcia when you played as her in mission 9 . I remember get stucked for ages on victor delacroix when i fought him at the first time ,he is waaaay stronger and powerful than me when i faced him and easily killed my legion in 10 seconds .. Really one of the hardest and memorable boss fights in this game. Now my burning question is : WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED TO THIS GAME ??? WHY THIS GAME IS UNDERRATED AND IGNORED LIKE THIS ?? I DON'T KNOW WHY CAPCOM DOES NOT MAKE A FRANCHISE FROM IT ..I SEARCHED ON THE INTERNET ALOT AND I DID NOT FIND ANY INFORMATION OR ANY ANSWERS , I hope capcom to come back to chaos legion and give it another chance and make atrue sequel from it like they did recently in devil may cry 5 ..this game really needs to revive and to be afranchise like devil may cry .it will be a dream that come true for me .. I remember playing this back in 2004 or 2005, I had a blast with it. This is a game I want to see come back as a remake or a new project. I loved the mechanics with the legions, the aesthetic was great, the character and enemy design (even with the old graphics) was great, and the OST fits it perfectly. I hope that Capcom will bring it back after Dragon's Dogma 2, they have an amazing team for action rpgs and open world games, it can be amazing.

They seriously need to make a remastered or remake this game was off the hook how you can have legions by your side and upgrading them making them deep and stronger man

This game was ahead of it's time

I feel people are missing the fact that this game was not supposed to have "in depth combos and stylistic ways to dispatch enemies" rather it's "do a few button presses with or without your legion to do damage" ( in that sort of sense ) the meat of the game actually is using your legions. Some are useful to some stages, others are not. Each are completely different to one another and helps your main character with not just killing foes, rather when you upgrade them, they give your MC passive abilities like "your sword has extra attacks to it now" or "you can double jump" and upgrade them to the max then all the passive abilities stay with you, with or without your legion at hand. If you think this game looks easy your way off the goal! This game makes you use the cheapest way to beat it smoothly, if not prepare for a rough ride as your regular enemies can easily MURDER you! Oh and there are 3 difficulties: easy, normal, and hard. If you still say it looks like a DMC or bayo rip-off then what have you been smoking!? This game is way different than those 2. For one puzzles isn't really a thing ( thank God for this particular game ), 2 as I mentioned earlier, no in-depth combo, and 3: your rewarded greatly for exploring and using different legions in different stages. In fact you can't obtain the ultimate legion without using different legions. If you still say it don't look good then I suppose it's not your cup of tea :/ not everyone has to like it, I'm just putting all this here as this comment section is filled to the brim of "it looks boring and it also looks like a DMC rip-off" ( also I saw GoW comments which, yet again. Is completely different. Since when have you seen kratos use beings like the MC does? Since when have you seen kratos ever perform use guns? I certainly hadn't ) edit: even in the first TUTORIAL boss fight shadowswerg here limited himself from using the legions which is the main way of dealing damage ( aside crits ofc, then again crits isn't easy to come across )

Oh my memories of playing this game....I was waiting for the sequels. But Capcom never delivered...the following up of a great and fresh title with it's unique style and gameplay back then It's time for the sequels to come.

Here I thought I considered myself as quite a decent player of this game (for, among other things, finishing hard mode without backtracking at all and thus no Thanatos, though it took me a couple of tries).Seeing you taking absolutely no damage without using legion, not even Assist, truly impresses me. Well done.
