We've run Vahl so often it makes a nice change to not. And we don't own Castigators or Triumph, so makes it difficult to include them 😅 Running things a bit differently is more interesting than just following the expected lists we find 🙂

Early in with the crazy exalted champion a couple drops were left (unless you rerolled before showing the roll I domt remember 😂) also the exa champ gives +1 to hit so everything hits on 2s in the crew rerolling 1s so you don't need the reroll hit roll from Abby unless it is for other units. Obviously isn't a huge deal but I bet those legionaries love pretending to be terms with 4++

Correct. It is slow, but those are the rules, especially awkward with Miracle/Fate Dice, but those are the breaks of powerful abilities that give you guaranteed results 😅

Actually, the rules for fast rolling "Hints and Tips - Fast Dice Rolling" say as long as they're the same type of attack, you can roll all the hits together, and then all the wounds. So rolling all hits, and then choosing to use a miracle die to wound is fine.

@@christinagrimwade8702 I believe the reason they recommend that is since normally it doesn't impact anything. The idea is still that the result is the same as if you would have rolled one at a time. With miracle dice, that's not the case. If you rolled one at a time, you don't know if the last die was a hit or not for example. With fast rolling you can make much more informed decisions since you know that "X hit and Y wounds, so now I feel like I can get enough wounds through to save this die for damage". Things like that. If you roll one at a time it can be harder to make that call. I'm a sisters player myself so I wish it worked like you said as it would be better for me and more simple, but sadly not.

@@danielhughes3758 Hi! Gotta say, I find it almost bizarre to hear a fellow sisters player make this argument. If we were to slow roll everything, but the time we have our last Hit roll, we would have even more information - we would not only know if the others hit, but also if they wound and do damage. If anything, the common way to play, aka fast roll and withhold one to do miracles with, is even the less advantageous way to do it. and the thing is, this is totally the correct way to do it. nothing in the rules says otherwise.

@@Nutellafuerst Check in the app under core rules -> the battle round -> making attacks -> the attack sequence. It states that you make attacks one at a time following that sequence. What I'm saying is that if you go through each stage and deciding "should this hit/wound/damage with a MD then that's a massive increase in information and is cheating, technically, although I've seen several tournaments played that way. Slow rolling one attack sequence at a time however is rules as written, but always doing that is obviously way too slow. So if you make all attacks but the last few and slow rolling those then that's fine rules as written, provided they fast rolled ones are made until completion, so hit, wound, save and damage. Rules as written you can't hold partially made attacks

Chaos are ridiculously OP at the minute. Take the exalted champion for example. Can have in addition to other leaders, gives the buffs of 2 leaders, is only 70pts and can be an absolute blender by himself, as seen by this!

Chaos are very overtuned right now. Buff stacking is so easy. Dark pacts is so little a risk.

I haven't watched past turn one yet but he played the sisters very poorly in that turn, took the "wrong" loadouts on the paragons, flamers instead of multi meltas and put the blade of st ellynor on the canoness instead of the palatine, it is absolutely god tier on the palatine with its Rapturous blows ability, every wound scored does a mortal wound in addition to normal damage, he did not charge the palatine in and just left it sitting out in the open to die next turn when it could have dished out a load of mortal wounds to the havocs or terminators. I don't know if I want to watch past this turn. He's not doing them justice whatsoever.

No such thing as wrong loadouts in a fun game. Is there an Advance and Charge Stratagem missed that would have allowed the Palatine to Charge? Also you should probably watch past turn 1 😅

​@@tabletoptactics The reason I brought up loadouts is because the OP commented on Sisters looking bad vs CSM and I was pointing out the reasons why I don't think this game should be taken as showing the power of Sisters, you are right there is no such thing as a wrong loadout, I should have said a less optimal loadout. And no there is nothing that allows them to advance and charge, I meant I think they shouldn't have been advanced and they should have charged instead. Should have proofread my comment more. And I did watch the rest of the game and enjoyed it.

@@Goober2289 You should still probably watch the whole match before making such comments. Both lists and loadouts aren't exactly optimised, because that's not really what this channel is about outside of league. But without wanting to spoil anything, A LOT happens after turn one.

That works for 1W models, but not for 2W models, as you don't know who that second batch needs to be allocated to in what order. You can't "pair up" passes with passes as you don't know the order you've done it in. It's also not about the total Damage, but the individual wounds inflicted and how much damage they do, as there's no spillover. 10 wounds at D2 is 20 Damage total, so- Let's say you roll the first batch of 10, and fail 3 of them, so you've got 7 passes You then roll the second batch of 10 and fail 7 of them, so you have 3 passes, for 10 total, 10 wounds total. Is that 5 dead? Logic dictates yes, but actually as the damage is 2, you might have failed only one out of D2 on a model, leaving him with a wound, and so he absorbs the next D2 with 2 passes. Let's say he passes the next 2 as well. So far I've rolled 6/20 FNPs, but only lost 1W. I'm lucky sure, but it can happen. Now by the example, I've got 5 more "passes" in my pool. I roll another 2, fail one he dies (8/20, 4 Passes left) Next one fails both (10/20, 4 Passes, 2 Dead) Next one passes one fails one (12/20, 3 Passes, 2 Dead) He gets lucky again, passes both (14/20, 1 Passes, 2 Dead) He finally fails both (16/20, 1 Pass, 3 Dead) The next one has my last Pass (18/20, 0 Pass, 3 Dead) Therefore he takes the last Dmg 2, with no more in my pool, so leaving us on 4 Dead, rather than the 5 Dead "expected" from 10 failed FNPs It might sound minor, but those are the rules. Yeah it's slow, and yeah I dislike it, but to roll multi-wound models in batches as if they had 1W is going to do yourself a disservice from time to time.

Abaddon actually has all the Marks, per his Datasheet (he has every Keyword), so he can join anyone. But the Champ shouldn't have, we both missed that 😅

You are incorrect. The 4 god dark pacts specifically says that crits are scored on a 5+ Since a crit is scored, any abilities that proc off the crit go off, which near the helbrute are both lethal and sustained.

@WraithRaider ah, I see the issue here. Because it says crits on 5s in the dark pact, that somehow gets applied across the board, when infact it shouldn't. I hope they do an FAQ. I play Chaos Marines and I'll never use that ability in that way because it's incorrect. That use is just losers using the "rules as written" to exploit as much as they can out of it. Getting sustained on 5s and 6s then lethals on 6s is still good for the ability.
