In this video of Tarikh Nikhil discusses the story of Chapekar brothers. These three were the sons of Hari Vinayak Chapekar, who translated Satyanarayan Katha from Skand Puran. He was a Kathavachak and all here sons were the members of his kirtan mandali. Once there was plague in Pune. An officer Rand was sent to control this. But his officers and policemen were raping the women on the name of checking the symptoms of plague. Damodar, Balkrishna and Vasudev decided to kill him. They was killled on the function organised on the occasion of diamond jubilee of Queen Victoria's getting to the throne. Soon they were caught and hanged by the british. What is the whole unsung story?

I never thought I will be reading such foolish remarks. By the way, I have read the autobiography which Damodar wrote in jail. Lallantop gets many facts wrong. First, the photo is not of w c Rand but of American civil war general, a different Rand. Second, the name of police official was Harry Brevin and not Probin.

She died of Plague caused by heavy carelessness on account of the Rands in Maharashtra. The culprits were praised and awarded by the Britishers. But, they were killed by the Chaapekar Pandits. Despite, unfortunately, J. Phule only went against the Brahmins.

Complete wrong information. Rand was historian and was collecting details abt Shivaji. He was aganst caste and was supporting dalit uplifting. Chafekar didnt like him. So they killed him. This is clearly mentioned in their last words.

चाफेकर बंधू का आत्मवृत्त मैने पढा है . उन्होने रॅंड के बारे मे अच्छा ही लिखा है . एस सी के लोगो के साथ सवर्ण लोगो को प्लेग के कारण रखा जाता था इस बात पे उनको ऑब्जेक्शन था . आप का चॅनेल आधा सत्य बता रहा है . ये गलत है . चाफेकर देश नहीं बल्की जात वर्चस्व के कारण फाशी पे गये.
