If he's the best for you then there's no argument. The best *generally* is always a tough argument, but he is _so_ good, and his nature and personality give him a +10 over any equivalent players who're dicks.

Johnny and Guthrie are friends, and both incredible. You may just see them throwing down together soon.

+Jason Hisington ONE of the best ever. No one is EVER the 'best' when it comes to guitar playing. Every player has a weakness that another guitar player can do better.

+Russell Loyd Well in his documentary Chappers says that he's always been a huge fan of Johnny Hiland. Plus the fact that he does a lot of hybrid picking would suggest to me that he's always liked that style of playing.

Trouble is, every guitar that Johnny plays sounds like that. He's got working man hands (Iike chet), too, so even if the guitar wasn't that great or was a little hard fingering, you'd never know it. He'd bulldoze through it, anyway. Sort of like listening to Jim Mills demo a banjo he's selling. It'll never sound the same when you get it home!

And if you go to a restaurant and it takes 45 minutes to get your food, don't be surprised if you're the only one pissed off about it while everyone else is just chilled out waiting patiently.

this is no exaggeration. A lot of them are the most humble down to earth people who want NOTHING to do with fame or recognition. Its mind blowing.
