Countries that don't have massive problems with right wing terrorism are countries that have media and political systems that don't amplify violent voices. The US specifically has a media and political circus that has monetary gain in amplifying calls of violence, be it trying to reach people that will believe them or the inverse of "look how dumb this is", both amplifying the hateful rhetoric. I'm not saying the left should arm themselves or whatever because that's clearly not a solution. It's not even remotely isolated to the U.S. In fact trans people have a BETTER platform and visibility than they do in many other comparable countries because of our media presence. 2016 was also the Pulse Nightclub shooting, next year followed by a Las Vegas shooting.
