You are not wasting your time. While I live across the Big Pond from you, when I watch your videos and listen to your jolly repartee, I am transported to England and all is well. Keep hiking and filming your hikes. You bring the fells and the lake alive for me.

I watch so many VLOGS of walking in the Lakes but you are by far the best. I believe you are a real inspiration for many. Your enthusiasm and sense of fun is addictive. I link all my friends to you. Never ever stop. My wife and I love your "chatter". Far better than some rubbish background music.

That view at 13.02 OMG! In fact there were so many great views on this walk. Don't get disheartened because your channel is fantastic and organic growth is far more interactive and sustainable than rapid growth. As I said in the community tab here I'm one of those people that's been inspired by your videos and meeting up with you at the Black Mass couple of months back was great. Keep it up!

Totally agree. Better to have lower subs made of loyal supports than millions of subs and low views. 1 million subs with 40k views per videos isn't as good as 10k subs with 3-4k views per video in my eyes. That said I started following you almost from the start Glenn, under 1k views and its over 10 times that now in such a short space of time. Your market is niche, its a small area of the planet so it will always be slow growth but don't let that discourage you. You never know, once the series is done it .ight be worth branching into the Highlands and snowdonia :) I look forward to whatever comes next. People will watch because they enjoy your content and your personality...... as hard as that may be to believe haha 😄

Glenn, I love your channel so much, I may not comment but I always watch. Your videos make me feel more connected to my brother, he lives in the lakes 7 hours away from me, he is my only family. Your hikes allow me to imagine what my brother sees and experiences up there in the lakes. Our mum was born in Frizington, I hope to one day move to join my brother up there but for now I live through your vlogs. They help me feel connected so thank you 😊

Thank you Glenn for this video, it took me back nearly sixty years to when we had a caravan at Park Foot near Pooley Bridge. Apart from being allowed to waterski along the whole lake we used to take Land Rovers and motorcycles as well as ponies over Loadpot, Wether Hill and High Street to Windermere and never saw another person. Very fond memories.

Great video, loved the drone shots. I agree with other watchers about how beneficial and inspiring your videos are, my mother who is 85 and not able to do long high walks anymore, feels she can still enjoy the Lakeland fells. So thank you for that. I just like that they all have a happy ending as you inspire me to go and sit by a real fire with a real ale in a real Lake District pub. Kudos !

Done this walk anti clockwise in March with my wainwright buddy our 9 year old border collie Brax, unfortunately we lost him to cancer a couple of months ago and we are devastated. He clocked up 130 wainwright's but its now with a heavy heart I have restarted my walks with 61 remaining. My point is your videos are helping me through this, so yes you do make a difference mate. Thank you.

I am glad you are doing these videos. As someone who used to walk all the places you walk, but has lived in the US for the past 23 years, I live vicariously through you and similar you tubers. PS. Always impressed at the sound quality of your microphone, I was convinced you went back to a studio and dubbed the sound until I hear some sort of rare ambient sound like a dog barking.

Hi Glenn. My first comment on your channel but by no means my first watch. I watch many hikers and wild campers on KZfaq. You’re one of my favourites because of your mix of great content, humour, honesty and humility. You’re right, you are a normal person, and that’s what matters. Keep it and please don’t change it. Great viewing. Love those brown colours from the ferns dying back. I did the same walk in late March in 30 mph winds. Didn’t hang around. And, left walking boots back at apartment. Wet and cold feet. I sat on Bonscale( those towers!) the cloud lifted and the jets flew past, just amazing. Love the drone footage. Keep adding the pics. Don’t worry about it being your best work as that’s on your website.

Quick story, may have said it before but I was born with a bone disease, my bones age 3 times quicker than they should and at 16 had both my hips replaced. I've spoke to a few folks about this like Niel James and Mali but anyway after many years of doing pretty much nothing my son wanted to climb a mountain. I couldn't be arsed but I picked one on the map (Helvellyn lol) and off we went. It was incredible. Genuinely cried driving into the lakes down the A66. I'd not seen a mountain since I was 7 on holiday in Wales. It was hard work, id just quit smoking and i was so unfit. Id let my condition getbthe better of me and given up really. Anyway we did it and it sparked a fire in me and about a year later I came accross your "lake district, I love you" drone montage film. Well that was it. I've been hooked since I saw that film. My photography I feel is so much better now and my passion for hiking is ridiculous, the kind of stupid where ill drive the 3 hours to the lakes do a hike and drive back in the same day kind of stupid and that's pretty much down to you my friend so thank you for what you do 😀among a few other changes I made in my life, hiking and photography has given me a thirst for life again 😀

Yet another awesome video, stunning views, just love the Lakes, we can't wait to get over there soon and your vids, just inspire us to attempt more walking. My partner has a badly damaged knee which prevents us from some of the higher routes which is heartbreaking for him as he used to be a member of the hill search rescue and coastguard over here (isle of Man) which he can no longer do. His eyes light up when he watches your videos and the Lake District is are favourite place to escape to when we can. I'm hoping to make his Christmas by buying the Hells Herdy T-shirt... he's gonna love that!! Please keep on with the vlogs, we can't wait for notifications of the next adventure. I mention Black Crag to whoever I can. Another terrific video and a great reminder of a circuit I haven't done for years, but I remember those stunning views from that 'terrrace' path overlooking Ullswater. Makes me want to get back up there and I'm really enjoying the combinations of hills you're doing - giving me lots of ideas for different circuits. You're allowed to get distracted by it all and the light on a day like that - you did well to turn your back on it! And please don't feel weird about being an inspiration because you are and while knees get creakier and the lungs puff a bit more, seeing these videos really remind me of what's important and how much the hills are a vital part of life. And the nattering's fun too! And I really enjoy the shots you put up at the end too.

Another amazing video, the views from this walk look incredible. You have definitely inspired myself and my daughters to get out there more often. We are slowly ticking the Wainwright’s off, not in any particular order just enjoying ourselves as we go. The last hike we did was the Fairfield Horseshoe back in September, due to family and work commitments we’ve not managed to get out, we have our next walk planned for just before Christmas going to do Rydal caves and Loughrigg Fell, a nice easy one for my youngest (7yr old) her 3rd Wainwright and my eldest (11yr) 16th Wainwright and my 27th. We can’t wait to get back out there. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and we look forward to seeing your next video’s.

Your content is the best Lake District content out there. I live in the midlands so can’t get to the lakes as often as I’d like and your videos help scratch the itch. Cannot wait to watch the rest of this series over the next year or so.

Epic drone view of you at the top of Steel Knotts, really wonderful. How many times do we say WOW! This has to be one of the best views in the Lake District? It really is a mind blowing and magical place. The views of Ullswater and surrounding fells from Bonscale Pike are almost heart stopping. Fabulous. Thanks for posting what is an excellent video.

Very enjoyable as usual, love your vlogs you come across as a very down to earth person with a proper passion for the outdoors. Your photography is on another level 🙌. I can spot a Black Crag photo from a mile away! Keep it up mate .

I sent you an Instagram message but you never read it😊 you mention in this video ppl messaging you. I just wanted to say thank you for the many hours of pleasant entertainment you are currently providing me with. Im a fell walker but dont drive so I walk mainly in the Yorkshire Dales as I live very close. I cant get to the Lakes as often due to public transport taking so long. That being said I am off to Keswick this wknd. I can only dream of ticking off all the Wainwrights tho I have done maybe 40 now. Your videos make my world a bit bigger and I can relate to everything you speak of. The fells and nature make me emotional.. please never stop your waffling, I enjoy it. Thank you so very much and it may embarrass you but you really are an inspiration sharing your world 🙏🥾🤟⛰️

I watched this last night and I'm still trying to decide if I like that route or not😆 is it too trudgy at the start... But the views though. And I did like the last bit. Thanks for taking us along again, I hope you continue to enjoy making them as much as we enjoy watching them ☺️
