At 32 min, the visuals seem to be either confusion or wrong... blood being too acidic would cause increased respiratory drive and depth, as the lecturer says, but the visual says the opposite.

Good info. It's helpful when you can see the diagrams and notes you draw, on screen. Other lectures show the presentation, but then the instructor may be writing notes on a chalk board, and you miss out on information.

Hi! I got confused. When I check lecture notes it says that when blood is acidic it will stimulate faster and deeper breathing and vise versa with alkalosis. I think your illustration is wrong

Ok, I thought I was crazy. So yes, if you are acidic, your respirations will increase. Blood ph is 7.35-7.45 with 7 being neutral. < 7 is acidic > 7 is alkaline. Respiratory drive is 35-45 mmHg. Anything >45 is acidic (respirations will increase) anything
