Feel your pain! Just a tip when you make the replacement panels, make sure there is a consistent gap all the way round of the same size of your mig wire diameter. Aim the wire between the plates I.e into the gap and that way you’ll get full penetration. Also to mitigate warpage tack weld all around the plate first. When you start Stich welding make sure you aim into the previous spot weld by a third of its diameter. If you have an airline then use it to cool the welds before each spot weld, or a dampened rag will do the trick too ( not wet just damp). You’ve got this 😊
