Have we have found the most beautiful place in the whole of Europe?? Everyone recommends the Peloponnese in Greece, so we came to see what all the fuss was about, and lets just say it more than lived up to the hype! The Mani Peninsula has been one of the most beautiful places we have explored in the van!

We are Philly and Keely and we live full time in our tiny home on wheels Martha. After building our DIY home in a Citroen Relay camper we spent a year living on the streets of London before quitting our jobs only to be met with lockdown. Then we took our van further than she had ever been before to the very beautiful Turkey. Enroute we stopped off in Spain for a few weeks where we experienced every van lifers worst nightmare, we were robbed and they stole all valuables in our van. But now we are back on our feet, fully MOT’d and back on the road through Europe before we experienced another vanlife nightmare... our van caught fire! After the trauma of that we had a massive change of plan and have now made our way to Japan. We are starting a Japanese road trip and excited to bring you all along.

OMG watching you two is such a treat, "honestly guys" (to quote Keely) I don't know what makes me smile more: the gorgeous dynamic between you two, Keely's adorable sense of joy and emotional reactions and Philly's sweetness and humour ("the most beautiful place I've ever been is in your arms" was GOLD mate!) or the fabulous scenery and getting to tour along with you both to so many stunning off the beaten track locations. 1)We are lucky that our national animal is the dolphin. It's so mesmerising to see them. 2) Dirty rain is happening because of the mix of clouds and sand in the air that comes from the Sahara desert. When blows air from south direction temperatures rise up and sometimes this shit comes and sticks for days. Due to climate change this happens more frequently and is more dense. 3) This whole area back in the days was home of ancient Spartans. It has a fantastic history and it's like the heart of Greece for me. It was the last place that fell to ottoman invaders and the first where the Greek revolution started. It's so wild and primordial. It's so untouched and unapproachable that even in the 70's the roads were difficult to exist. 4) The stone houses that seem like mini castles have been the traditional local architecture for centuries. In these places it is forbidden to build a house (or any building) which does not meet the architectural specifications of the place. There are close to 1000 places like that in the whole country with different architecture and traditional local styles that we are obligated to keep like that.

Love that part of Greece. So agree with Philly about the sound of rolling waves over the pebbles. Had a few park ups with that sound and its so nice to listen to as I fell asleep - and got the best sleep ever.

How did I miss your video for 13 hours? I always love your videos. You’re so real and experiencing your simple daily routines are a pleasure. Keely your joy at seeing the dolphins was very touching. And your emotions at the beautiful landscape was beautiful. You have such a tender heart for all things of nature. Philly you are so gentle with her and have a true love of Mother Nature as well. I truly enjoy both of you. And that pizza looked BOMB 💣!! Oh almost forgot.. the red poppies in Greece are beautiful! In the spring they will cover a whole mountainside making it bright red. We have something similar in California. Our state flower is the California poppy only ours are bright orange. They will turn a mountainside ablaze in a bright swath of orange! (Google it… breathtaking!) Take care of yourselves and travel safely! 🌴🐾🐾

The sand in the rain comes all the way from Africa. If the wind is from the south it happens a lot. Just wait for the north wind and the rain that comes with it will make the van spotless again!

Hi guys as I am sitting here watching you two having so much fun and the lovey comments coming from Philly I couldn’t help but think you two must have had a great time last night. This has to be the best video you have made the weather for the most part was really good the views are spectacular and you two are just so gorgeous. I can see you two set up in that old stone cottage with a cow out in a little yard and lots of verges growing in the fields and going mushroom hunting in a forest. The rain is not dirty, it's just that when there are strong southerly winds (mainly in May), dust is carried from the deserts of Africa, which covers the sky and many times it looks cloudy. When it rains, this dust falls to the ground and stains the cars...

Love the video we lived in Crete only been back a year and miss it but we now have a Motorhome hopefully travel down to the mani in Greece the sand on van comes from the sharia desert with the rain enjoy both xxxx

If you ever visit Minnesota, please travel along Lake Superior from Grand Marais to Duluth. You will love the state parks, Rocks, beaches, waterfalls, etc. it’s beautiful. And one more thing, look me up and I will join you. 😂

Oh my goodness, you found a piece of heaven on earth in the spot on the sea. I wonder how much land goes for there. And, you found kitties to love on again. I've been in the desert and was parked on BLM land not far from a lady and her German Shepherd so I found me a dog to love on, he's such a sweetie. Can't wait to see more of your Greece. Lots of "ideas" but no solid plans. I think we are leaning towards doing a new van build for our next trip. We love the thought of a build project. Redesigning everything after three years on the road we know what we need and for long term comfort etc. But would need to find the right van, so if that doesn't work we will have to come up with something else fun to do instead lol.

We live in central Portugal and have just returned from Greece in our Vivaro, with wifey and Boo the dog, similar in some ways, but a lot more water, warmer water too, compared with the Atlantic.

@@phillyandkeely There are many parts of central Portugal, we are near Tabula which I think has a microclimate so we rarely see 40c usually a high of low 30s, but colder nights mean our house stays cool. Places like Casta Branco get much hotter, the coast, places like Figueira da Foz are cooler than here. Greece is hotter I think, because Portugal is cooled by the Atlantic.

I think that dolphin sound was more like a monkey sound . Next time you see a dolphin and there’s no one around strip off and swim with the dolphins . You both seem like you’re in such a great mood . I think it’s the fact you don’t need a winter jacket . In my town they just passed a law that pet stores can no longer sell cats and dogs . Effort to get stray animals all a home . I think a lot of pet stores will go out of business . Keely no one would of noticed those full udders if you hadn’t pointed them out . The things you notice about animals . Not one word about how beautiful the horns were . Well it’s one thirty in the afternoon here . I think I’ll get up and get on with the day . No sunrises for me .

Yeah I do notice certain attributes of animals don't I 🤣🤣 yeah pet stores can't sell cats or dogs in UK anymore, so it's weird when we travel abroad and see them in cages in stores because that's so unfamiliar to us now. Everyone just sells them for cash out of their house back home lmao

We always love spending time with other people, but we also love being alone haha. Need to find a balance. I think I get all my social fix from the KZfaq comments, it feels like hanging out with loads of people each week ❤️❤️❤️
