Thanks so much Mark! We are looking forward to coming back over to Scotland again in a few weeks. We told ourselves we wouldn't never go back in the summer cuz of the midges, but here we are coming back again 🤣

Yes! You could spend at least a couple of months driving around the US, going to the geographical center of every contiguous state! 🤪

You need a protective dog. If you are really serious, a Pit Bull.

Sometimes camp grounds are a bit basic and the mobile reception can be sketchy but hey I will take it best place on earth... just a heads up too I know it's tempting to pull up and look at animals crossing the road but be careful being a truck driver in tas I don't know how many times I've nearly killed people pulled up to take pictures especially on the west coast...

maybe a sticker from a (local) law enforcement agency, but otherwise no stickers. I would choose a motion sensor for your alarm, maybe something like a ring camera type, where you can receive notices on your phone app when you are away from the van. You are right though. Reports say that it only takes 30 seconds to steal a vehicle. The more time they have to take trying to get yours, the less likely you are to have your vehicle stolen.

It's the dark reality of living on the road. Be it a break-in or your home going into a shop, total strangers do gain unseen access to every inch of your home. And yes, even in a shop, somehow things seem to break/disappear. And whenever you find things are missing, broken, even the smallest of items obviously out of place... It stays with you cause it is your home that's been violated. But you still have the van and each other. Still having your passports saved you major headaches. Also the van interior not being totally smashed and slashed saves you from having to do a total rebuild/replace of everything. So maybe there's a little light visible at the far end of this dark tunnel. At least more so then for some. My dash gauges took multiple hammer hits, the wiring harness torn loose, left hanging down around the petals. All senseless evil destruction, on top of what was physically taken. The replacement vehicle I've now built has some very nasty surprises included into the build. I won't say what they are but if anyone ever invades my home again in such a way, they will carry the reminder scars for the rest of their life. Maybe help scare others to not following the same destructively evil path.

My Security Sticker simple states Protected By High Speed Wireless Device, with the shaded outline of a gun. Next to it is a Shooting Target with 3 Holes Dead Center. To date, no one has broken in.

Good jobb on the clean out. What kind of insulation did you use? And did you have a vapour barrier. Very curious ❤

Tasmania has many more non-venomous snakes.. the little brown and green grass snakes will bite if threatened and best to get to hospital anyway.

I haven't drank coffee in decades; like nearly all those with ADD, I have an inverse relationship with caffeine, so I receive no benefit from it -- and too much will put me to sleep! However, back when I did drink it, it was always with lots of cream and sugar -- and I have my mother to blame for that! ;) I was a latchkey kid at like 10 years old, and my mother was notorious about leaving her half-full coffee cup sitting on the kitchen table when my parents went off to work, so when I came home and was hungry/thirsty, there it was sitting on the table, so I just drank it! And since SHE drank it with lots of cream and sugar, I just became accustomed to that being the way it _should_ taste, and that never changed...oh, and I also prefer it room-temperature! ;^_^

As a nurse - very concerned about your exposure to that horrible mold. I would worry that it lurks behind the dashboard and other difficult to reach areas. You both work so hard and keep it light. Love how you support each other even when tired and irritable.

Now be sure to wipe over everything with vinegar, spray it on everything if you ever need to leave it again and ensure it’s impeccably clean.
