Props to Nick for making Leon sound so different in 2 titles. You can hear the 6 year training in his voice

Nick's work is impressive because he manages to portray both rookie and later superagent Leon convincingly.

I think Mathew Mercer is my personal favorite. I personally think his voice works best for the older and more experienced Leon. Kind of like how Courtenay Taylor is for an older Ada.

Paul Mercier and Matthew Mercer sound like proper evolutions of the character, it's almost eerie.

All of these voice actors are iconic. But we can't forget the classic VA for Leon, Paul Haddad. May he rest in peace.

I gotta say Nick absolutely nailed this role. He played both the naive, somewhat innocent rookie Leon and the battle hardened version perfectly.

Paul Mercier is still my number one. However, Mr. Apostolides has also improved a lot since RE2R , he was perfect for the younger Leon. But in RE4R, he also brought Leon's older, more mature voice well. The two of them are the best. #LeonSKennedy

The thing with Paul Mercier is that he doesn't sound like forced grunt voice the later actors tried... He was the perfect Leon voice.

Paul Mercier is a legend, every delivery he did was so memorable and straight from a cheezy movie action flick, its perfect. It cracks me up when he says "your right hand comes off?"

Despite not returning much as Leon, i still think Paul Mercier’s Leon is the definitive voice for him. His Leon sounds like a real SuperAgent, if u put those cheesy one liners with the other voices, it would sound totally off and cringe, but Paul can deliver it and sound cool. Nick is really good too, but i still hear the rookieness in his voice despite being the experienced super agent leon in RE4 remake. Tho i think tht also make sense since its only been 6 years. Voices shouldn’t change too much

Look, I love the badass, cool, collected, and charming Leon Paul Mercier gave us, and the snarky, cool, and slick mf that Matt Mercer gave us, but Nick has given an entire and complete Leon. From naive rookie to badass with the quips and confidence, he's excellent and deserves his flowers as Leon too.

With the exception of the very first voice of Leon, there is somewhat of a consistency to all the other VAs that play Leon. They all sound "Leon". Chris Redfield's various VA's feel all other the place though. Personally, I really liked the life that Roger Craig Smith brought to the character and I wish he was still voicing the character in the more recent RE games

Nick’s work in the remakes is very good, in RE2 he sounds as he should, a fresh faced goodie two shoes rookie. But for RE4 he’s done a great job of showing a more jaded Leon with a huskier voice but still sounds friendly / is capable of banter with the right people. He’s a great choice.

Nick is a great voice actor for the two titles. Paul Mercier's is absolutely classic. Matt's is the honorable mention because I think from all of RE6, the characters were done well even if the gameplay and story was okay.

Matthew Mercer also voiced Jotaro Kujo from JJBA Stardust Crusaders to JJBA Stone Ocean, Mitsuru Kuroiwa from Judgment, and also Goro Majima from Yakuza 7

Paul is the OG but Nick has proven that he can accurately portray RE2 Leon and RE4 Leon both amazingly. Paul voiced RE2 Leon in Darkside Chronicles and he just did his RE4 voice for him. It sounded great/cool but it really didn’t fit Leon’s age or experience at the time in his story. I think we can all agree that all of these voice actors are well cast for Leon though!

I fucking adore Nicks take man. Its the perfect amount of gruff b movie camp that just fucking works. Right up there for me with Paul Mercier and Matt. No one will forget Haddad’s work either.

For me it is late Paul Haddad as he brought us Leon Kennedy first time. Also who few years ago finally played RE2 on live stream and mentioned behind the scene stuff. Also Paul Mercier is great as Leon especially with his one liners in RE4. But gotta say Nick sounds almost similar to his previous incarnations and sequels, soft and caring voice but on the same time can be sarky when need to be

Id say easily Matt Mercer and Nick Apostolides are best 2. Why i personally would say Nick is the goat is due to him being a superfan and being the one the directors would ask for Leon related questions. And watching his lets plays, its not like watching a gameinformer sneak peak vid. He genuinly knows the game, lore, and character to its core. Id be happy if they keep Nick as Leon for many upcoming entries. If not, then Matt Mercer is perfect as well.

Paul Mercier is a perfect young Leon and Matt Mercer is a perfect older and wiser Leon. Having Matt return for Death island was so great, cause he still does the older Leon so well even after his last voicing of the character (Re: Vendetta). Nick in my opinion is perfect for the remake iteration of the character, he matches the personality of remake Leon. I think he should just be the voice for the remake version of the character. His voicing for Leon in infinite Darkness (which could be cause the character design) didn't feel as great as it was 2 and 4 Remake. Seeing Matt's take in the clips from Death island where they used the same model they did in infinite darkness, he made it a bit more believable.

Nick's Leon has a really cool voice and I think his acting is great. However, I feel that his overall acting gives a serious impression and doesn't suit Leon, who has developed a sense of humor since Resident Evil 4. In that respect, Paul and Matthew were wonderful in expressing Leon's character traits so well.
