Just finished watching module 1-5. And I learned the basic and background of VA. The modules are very helpful in assessing individuals self as to how prepared and ready before engaging the VA world. I also realized as to what aspect should I have to improve on myself to be a competent and well rounded VA. Thank you, Coach Jam for sharing such valuable knowledge to aspiring VA's like me.

Hi, everyone! Just started my 0-VA journey today. For the assignment, I think the characteristic that I should work on is Self-Motivation. My support system is weak since I don’t open up that much to just anyone and I like to bottle up my emotions and wait for the time bomb to explode. However, as Jam said in the vid, being a VA is having to eat rejection for breakfast, lunch and dinner so I’m training my self during these earlier stages to open up to other people, ask help and not try to act like I always know everything and try to be a sponge who absorbs everything then release them afterwards. Happy learning to us, co-VAs in the making.

For this module, I need to improve my non-stop learning because like Jam mentioned, when I am hooked to my comfort zone I leave it at its is but this module enlightened me that change is inevitable. I need to be updated at all times to the new trends especially since we are entering a new era of the digital world as well as engagement with the right community is very much important to get those information on hand. Leverage all resources is key to this success.

After watching this module, I realized that I need to improve Self- leadership and Self- motivation because these two are my main weaknesses.

After watching this lesson, I have come to realize that as an aspiring VA, I need to improve my Self-Leadership since there are times when I procrastinate and can't seem to finish my task. So I guess to I really need to improve myself in this area. Thanks Coach Jam! ❤

My 0-VA challenge uas started and for this assignment I want to highlight out of the Five characteristics of a VA. 1. Self leadership 2. Non stop learner 3. Can embrace change 4. Resourceful 5. Self motivated. For me self motivation is what I need to work on because of the competition and the constant client rejection and ghosting its not easy, its enough to make one want to quit.

Reflecting upon this module, I have learned that I really need to work on my self leadership and self motivation.

The characteristic I need to improve for my self is self-leadership. I need to have discipline and commitment so my goals will be clearer to reach. Take off that procrastination and do all the relevant things on time.

The characteristics of a virtual assistant that I need to improve on are self-leadership, self-motivation, and the ability to embrace changes (just a little bit; it's normal to feel uncomfortable or unfamiliar at first, but I know I will get used to it once I actually start working regularly). I chose these characteristics because I tend to procrastinate and get distracted on different social media platforms, especially Instagram and KZfaq. "The momentum of continuous action fuels motivation, while procrastination kills motivation." I learned from this quote that I won't get motivated to do the tasks by watching KZfaq videos first. Instead, it has the opposite effect: it kills motivation. The happiness we get from accomplishing the tasks little by little is what motivates us. So, I'm trying to cultivate self-discipline and learn to do the tasks even if I'm not motivated. The StayFree app and browser extension is also very handy in this situation.

Thank you for this Coach Jam! At first glance on the 5 characteristics, I really knew I do not embrace change that easily. Though I do non-stop learning, I am resourceful and can work alone... well all because most tasks do not require me to do major changes in life. In other words, I'm not into rollercoaster rides because it's unpredictable unlike riding a carousel. There's cycle and I wanted to be a VA wherein there's a cycle and not much spontaneity. However, upon watching this... I learned that change is constant no matter what I do. Also, I am afraid to embrace change because I am soft hearted. That's why it is hard to do self-motivation. Hopefully by the end of this training, I'll be able to improve those qualities because both really don't give me assurance when I let them be in the control center with joy (charot). I really am a person who values assurance that's why I lack with both characteristics.

Upon watching this video, I have come to reflect on myself that I need to focus on my "Non-Stop Learning". It is indeed that what you know now is not enough for your ambitions and goals, if you want more in the future then start investing on your knowledge every now and then.

I really think I need to work on my self-motivation along with the self-leadership. I had let myself own too many times in the past due to my low self-esteem. Fear of failure and success are hard to overcome especially when you're not even confident with your current personality and identity. For me, it's non stop learning, since I know that I am very behind on what's new, what's updated and things that VA usually use, or do. Also, Self leadership. I am a leader my self, but as I am not a perfect person, sometimes it's hard for me to motivate and be a leader to myself. However, since I want to be a VA and be financially free, I would need to lead my self hard and firm this time.

The most challenging characteristic I need to improve is self motivating... One area I'm actively working on is embracing change. Adapting to new environment or a group of people can sometimes take me longer than I'd like.

I need to work on improving SELF-LEADERSHIP because working remotely can also be boring sometimes. As a result, there are times that I feel lazy, I procrastinate. I need to discipline myself if I want to be successful in this industry. Also, SELF-MOTIVATING because I am an introvert person so it's not easy for me to just open up to other people. I tend to keep my problems to myself which can be hard sometimes. These days, I find ways to motivate myself so I won't be easily overcome with problems that I will face once I become a VA.

After rewatching this, I guess I need to work on my Self-motivating character since in everyday, there are different struggles that I need to face with different motivation that I need to apply so I might be able to solidify my Self-leadership, non-stop learning, Can embrace change, and being resourceful characteristics.

I think, I need to improve on non-stop learning. When I stopped working in the BPO industry, I was no longer updated with how the current system is also doing. So I when I decided to be a VA after a long time of being a work from home mom selling cakes, desserts and pastries, running an online ticketing business and being a financial advisor , I know I needed to do my research and be resourceful of how I can attend webinars for free know more about how to be a VA and enroll to upskill. This is how I found you coach and I'm thankful for your step by step guides and very detailed videos, I am slowly understanding oh how one needs to prepare to being a VA.

I would like to work on being a non-stop learner. Being able to have balance and fighting off procrastination in learning. I believe that in order for me to become a well rounded VA, i have to upskill and gain as much knowledge as I can.

One characteristic that I need to work or improve on was Non-stop learner. I am this kind of person that what is done is done. And now since being VA isn't that easy as what I have expected it made me realize that I need to learn more so I have background about the work that I wanted to work on to.

As a beginner with no knowledge at all, maybe a characteristic of a VA that i should have to develop is self motivated,. That when i encounter hard or difficulties during the learning, i have to set my mind that must accept finite disappoinment but never lose infinite hope to learn more.

I need to work on my self motivation. So I have great plans and ideas, but due to no motivation, I never acted on those until forgotten.
