C-Horse have been a pretty consistent prog band for me for quite a few years, but the singles for this have got me super pumped and hyped. I think you've also nailed their sound on the head; they're by no means the most groundbreaking band ever, but they have their own personality within modern prog and do it very well.

Nice to see you reviewing Caligula’s Horse. Extremely talented band. Rise Radiant was my jumping on point, which was one of my favorite albums of 2020. Charcoal Grace is my most anticipated album of 2024, I can’t wait listen to this album Friday.

I discovered Caligula's Horse at the height of the pandemic with their previous album and they blew me away. They're kinda like a more catchy, Australian Haken! Very psyched for this record.

Discovered this band a few years ago after searching for some new prog and seeing their name pop up a few times. They’ve got some good songs in their catalog for sure.

Caligula’s horse is a pretty cool prog band. In contact is definitely a very good album for your Prog rock/metal. Will give this a listen when I can (I can’t believe is been years since the Pandemic)

Kinda feels weird to think about: this time 4 years ago I was still working for Jamie Oliver and then suddenly I was at home every day playing Doom under the assumption the lockdown was temporary and treating it like a mini vacation.

I've always thought of Caligula's Horse as sort of a companion band to Haken. Similar sound with pared down song writing that places more weight on hooks than instrumental wankery.

Hey Robert, a little tip to satisfy your hunger for prog. metal in the Haken/Between the Buried and Me category: give the 'Opus' debut album from 2023 by the band Nospun a chance. Nospun is band I had never heard of before, but who really convinced me with their immense talent. Check'em out! 👍

That was a pretty good record. The upcoming album from Lebanese prog band Turbulence fits the bill as well.

I’ve tried several times to get into this band over the last decade. As talented as they clearly are, they’ve just never quite done it for me. The lyrics are seriously pretentious and the vocals are just kinda weak. You’ve made me want to give them one more chance.
