Charcoal retort re-fire

4 жыл бұрынToday, we fired up Bernard for a second run out having learnt from last time's mistakes. The end result was perfect with some big pieces of charcoal with a range of beautiful colours. We have ended up with a lot going spare, so if you would like you buy some (Edinburgh or London) contact us via our insta or email.

My brother in law has one of those little saws. One of the handiest tools I've seen in a long time. Good job on the charcoal!

Yes it’s great for small branches where it’s too much hassle for the big chainsaw.

That retort's bloody excellent! Some serious biogas there. I need to build one of those. The little saw I'd thought about, but decided to splash out on a Makita 18v top handled saw as my cordless powerbase is becoming all Makita anyhow (reliable). I plant and crop willow every year for building, baskets & fuel, so can't be messing with 10 mins battery life. I want to move from 2 strokes with their noise, fumes and unreliability.

was the only change using dry bio mass?

No we made some changes off camera to improve the leaking out of the heat and some other bits and bobs but for the most part the dry wood was the main change
