The charge rifle is the most risk reward weapon they will ever add. If you hit you do some big damage but it can be hard to land a shot and if you miss they'll know you only have 1 gun in a close up fight unless you're ballistic

This is why I love Maggie. People who play control legends so passively always pisses me off because we don't get to fight at all. They coward away in their little fortification and we end up having to leave. Unless you're Maggie and push in with your ball and stun/burn them while destroying their defense.

People are sleeping on the charge rifle. It can do headshots that deal the same damage as a kraber body shot. I do miss the triple take doing 138 headshot damage.
