How to charge canon's mirrorless camera using the usb-c port.
You will need to use a USB-C to USB-C cable for the power delivery system to work.
I mentioned the R6 in this video. To clear up any confusion, the R6 can be powered by the charger while being used. This is handy for people using the camera for an extended amount of time like streaming or a really long time lapse. The battery however, will only start charging when the R6 is turned off.

Cameras are being 💀 by smartphones exactly for these kind of reasons. Canon could easily enable normal usb charging but they want you to pay for that 500% markup charger and therefore make the camera worse by design.

R7 owner here: 20 W power bank you showed will charge the battery, but won't run the camera. You need 45 W for that. Anker has a bigger battery, which I use for long-run night photography and it works great (26,000 supply(.

I use my samsung charger, but I was confused why every time I plug it in, I get a green light. I didn't know that's normal. You would think that it would be red but no 😂

Hi, I used the same Anker Power Bank. It can charge my canon R6 when it’s power off. But when R6 is power on, it won’t charge the battery.. any suggestion for charging R6 while recording video please. Thanks!

I so wish they’d taught us useful stuff like watts amps etc in school. I remember so much absolutely worthless information… and as an adult I would say a good 50% of what I was taught I’ve never come close to using (I’m being generous).
