Fatal flaw is that black culture doesn’t shine a bright enough light on great individuals such as Mr. Gaines.

Black people have always shined a light on achievement, it’s the world that doesn’t recognize or respect what black people accomplish….

American Black Culture only exists by the Permission/Perpetuation of the Patriarchy. Black Culture is not dictated by Black People, so I agree.

@@dd6966 sad to say but in the fine arts realm black artists still have to be validated by whites before black curators, collectors and art patrons recognize them. Black Americans aren't astute in the fine art world because not enough can afford to buy into it as you need to have DISPOSABLE INCOME to partake. If you are being emotionally sensitive about the statement you should do the research into it before trying to pretend that BLAPEPOS celebrate all of us before we get in the door of WHYPEPOS who make us trendy to our own PEPO'S. As an artist who makes outstanding works, my patrons have all but 1 been Jews. My fans are black but they don't support us. I don't hold that against them, I just don't like to see lies and deception about the truth of the matter. Sorry to be the one to tell you but somebody had to and it might as well be me.

@@charmander777 there's a difference between her as a machine made performance artist over a visual artist. It takes black celebrities to mention black fine artists in their music, videos or interviews. I mean it was crazy 🤪 😜 how all of a sudden after Jay-Z mentioned BASQUIAT and did a video with his art at how many BLAPEPOS knew that he even existed 😳 😂 🤔 🤪 😜. Still there are elder artists still alive with more visionary ideals than YE and Jay-Z put together. I'm talking about two of America's not just black America but all American artists: RICHARD HUNT and PRESTON JACKSON. RH has more public art installations than any other American artist in the country. PJ just got a public park named after him. His works are as profound as GUSTAV VIEGLAND of Norway but with black stories. He was doing Kara Walker in 3d b4 she was doing it in 2d. I doubt that doja and her cat 🐈 will be around as long 😆 🤣 😂
