Apparently Vincent was evil. Maybe even more so than Manson.

What a sad day. One of the smartest and most reasonable persons I've seen on TV. Always standing to his principles and not one bone of corruption or malice in his body. RIP Vince

I read his book "Helter Skelter", and the amount of time and detail that went into investigating and tying Manson to those murders was staggering....this was long before computers were available, and a gun used by "Tex" Watson had to be traced by hand, going through thousands of gun records at pawn shops, police stations, armories, and the only reason they were even able to tie him (Manson) to anything was because of Linda Casabians confession to a fellow inmate while under arrest for Grand Theft, until then Los Angeles was in a state of panic, not knowing who killed Sharon Tate who was 8 months pregnant with Roman Polanski's child, Abigail Folger, Jay Sebring, and many others. Until Pugliosi was able to tie all of these facts together and present them to the justice system, Charles Manson would have been free after serving a modest sentence. It was an unbelievable amount of detective work for a D.A., and Manson even thanked him for being fair after the trial. Several passages in his book relate to inexplicable phoenomena, that he relates to his wondering if Manson did in fact have psychic powers.

@Ivan Calico. It was not Linda Kasabian who confessed about the Tate-La Bianca murders to another female inmate - it was Susan Atkins who confessed her role in the Tate-La Bianca murders to another woman inmate! And author/researcher Tom O'Neill in his book, "Chaos" about the Manson case and in his videotaped appearances on talk show/podcasts such as "The Joe Rogan Experience" has stated that he could go through Vincent Bugliosi's book, "Helter Skelter" and point out page-after-page in that book where Bugliosi lied or distorted facts or omitted facts! O'Neill's excellent research discovered that not only did Vincent T. Bugliosi suborn perjury of at least 3 witnesses in the Manson trial including Terry Melcher (the son of the late actress Doris Day), but also Bugliosi had stalked his milkman in the 1960s because he falsely believed that his milkman had gotten Bugliosi's wife Gail pregnant. According to O'Neill's book, "Chaos", Bugliosi beat up his mistress Virginia Cardwell and intimidated her to lie to the police by telling them that she fabricated her story that Bugliosi beat her up after she refused to get an abortion. It turns out that Vincent T. Bugliosi was a real scumbag!

Vincent was a coward, delusional and based the trial itself on a embellished story that became Helter Skelter.
