Let me explain: He's just an scared child trapped in the body of an adult, playing with his "toys" (the people that followed him) inside his "nursery" (not a physical place, but his own mind). What happens when you take away the "toys" from a child? The "nursery" goes down the drain and the "child" makes a big tantrum. The "tantrum" in Manson's case, was the Hollywood murders. Why? his "toys" where not as fun as the first time.... so he pushed them to the limit, like real children do. Recipe for disaster. As simplistic this may sound, it's also very complex. That's why people like Manson is so dangerous. Give an H-Bomb controler to a child and then see what happens...

He lived until a ripe age of 83, courtesy of American hospitality but still made sense. I don't think I would have lasted that long. But he's right on so many levels. At 2:32, you can see the insanity in his expressions, but just after that, he gets serious again and tells, in a quite poetic way, how he sees himself. And on other occasions, his thoughts get even deeper. Look up a couple his quotes and you'll see what I mean. "We're all our own prisons, we are each all our own wardens and we do our own time. I can't judge anyone else. What other people do is not really my affair unless they approach me with it. Prison's in your mind. Can't you see I'm free?"
