Charles-Valentin Alkan: Etude Opus 39, Number 2, “En rhythme molossique”, attempted by Jean Lobrot

4 жыл бұрынI know I know I’m going out of order but let me explain. This was the first piece that I heard by Alkan (a criminally underplayed composer) and so I only felt it was right to record it first. I plan on doing the rest of the Opus 39 (minor key etudes) in addition to the opus 35 (major key). Can’t wait to see how this goes lol

Nice, can’t wait to hear the rest! I played this a few years ago, but didn’t like any recording, and only excerpts exist... now I’m recovering from tendinitis in my right forearm, so it’ll be a bit before I can try this again.

still wish alkan had the exposure of someone like liszt or chopin. as simple his stuff can musically be, they almost always go hard like this piece
